Making the Simplest Dish for the Oldies: Today's More Garlicky and Oily ft. Braised Anchovies for Two Picky Eater Cats

I feel bad for Mommy F because she always had a boring vegetable recipe -particularly carrot fritters. Yep, I made some for her again yesterday. I actually made sauteed carrot for her before but she didn't like it that much. I didn't put any meat in it so it is kinda bland and boring but that's the only foods that is good for her. Chicken is no, no too as it can trigger itchiness. So the only things okay for her is either veggies or fish. (╥﹏╥)

And today, she already eaten all the carrot fritters so I asked her again what dish she wants for lunch. She said fish. If fish, I'll surely end up frying it again. Its like Mommy F is allergy to any soupy foods, aigooo. This time, I will find and sure to find that red fish for her, even if they are pricier. One of the reason why we can't buy fish for her is that either it is not available or it is super expensive. But not today, no matter what the price is, I am dead set to buy fish!

I checked on mama first in her house to asked if she'll come with me to the market. She kinda so early getting busy on something. But she said yes, and we then had a quick quest going to the market.

And luckily, I found a good fresh fish there that is okay for Mommy F. Its sad that the price is really expensive per kilo, 340 pesos or $5.78 in today's rate. But I only bought 3 pieces of it and it's just for Mommy F anyways so we don't need a lot. This three pieces cost us 110 pesos already or $1.87. Like, wow! But at least Mommy F can enjoy her meal with a delicious dish to pair with rice.

And yeah, I just fried it in the end as per her request -here's the ice crea- I mean the fried fish HAHAHA. You can naturally see lots of dish or even sewing kit in this kind of container in our house. And we keep it here because its much better because of its cover ƪ(‾.‾“)┐. They are safer from our cats too, lol

And actually, I also brought fish for our cats. Two of our cats barely eat with just wet food so we just feed them rice with fish and they love it a lot. Aigooo, cats really are high maintenance. Luckily, there's a fish available in the market that is much cheaper, this is anchovy by the way and its still fresh -I think

For this fish I just cook it with water, salt and little bit of vinegar. That will help this fish from making go bad. And seriously, the cats loves it -esp the smell. For their rice, they eat the same rice with us ƪ(‾.‾“)┐

I cooked rice today for the oldies but because we have leftovers, I decided to make fried rice with onion and garlic. While on it, I also fried some garlic for Mommy F

And ah, I also made one Tortang Dilis because I suddenly crave for it haha. It is literally just one because I have leftovers of flour mixture which I used to coat my Adobong Chicken. Lol. And yep, that's what I had for lunch with some fried chicken..it really taste the best with the garlicky rice. We all enjoy our food today most especially Mommy F. She sure miss the fish because she ate using her hands which is more enjoyable if you'll ask me.

A veces es difícil variar el menú cuando hay tantas restricciones, pero ese esfuerzo por conseguirle su pescado rojo favorito vale muchísimo. Aunque sea caro, verla disfrutar de una comida que realmente le gusta no tiene precio
