Today I'm going to write about Pazdrát 11° beer and the Chříč craft brewery.
What makes this brewery unique is that it operates in part as a social enterprise—known in Czech as a “protected workshop.” Whenever possible, it gives priority to hiring people with mental and physical disabilities.

I ordered a beer at a place called “Café na půl cesty” (Coffee Halfway). This café also gives priority to hiring people with mental or physical disabilities as staff. The café is located in Prague’s Pankrác district, in the local CentralPark.
I didn't go to the café specifically to show my support or to have a beer. It was a coincidence. I ran into a Hive user there. But since I was already there, I ordered one small beer (0.33 L). By the way, I have diabetes. I really shouldn't drink beer at all. But for a good cause, I'll have those four or so beers a year.
The café is an unassuming, single-story wooden building in the middle of the park. You can see it a little bit on the right side of the second photo. But since I didn’t come here to drink beer in the first place, I didn’t come here to take pictures either. I admit that I was taking pictures of the bike—or rather, the flowerpot—more than the café.

If you order and drink inside the building, you get a glass for your beer. But if you want to drink outside, you have to use a reusable, eco-friendly cup. For me, that was the only downside to the place. But the weather was nice, and I wanted to stay outside. Beer from a plastic cup.
But let me say a few words about the beer and the microbrewery. Setting history aside, the brewery has been in operation and brewing beer again since 2015. Its annual beer production is just under 1,000 hectoliters.
I looked it up later and found that the brewery brews several types of beer: Nebožtík (The Deceased), Vinnetou, Vzkříšení (Resurrection), and Old Shatterhand. The base beer, however, is Pazdrát 11°.
The brewing process is based on a copper brewhouse with direct wood firing, open fermentation tanks, and stainless steel aging tanks. It is brewed exclusively from Czech ingredients. The hops used are “Žatecký poloraný červeňák” and “Premiant.”
Apparently, along with the amount of alcohol, the bitterness and other characteristics of beer also vary from batch to batch. I read that somewhere; I haven't had a chance to try it myself.
It’s not so important to me what I drink, but rather who I meet and what we talk about. This beer alone didn’t put me in a good mood, but thanks to the place and my friend, I ended up in a good mood after all. And we even contributed a small amount to a good cause.
I think we’ll meet up here again next time. I’m just not sure if I should try this beer again or one of the others they offer.

Charitativní pivo
Dnes budu psát o pivu Pazdrát 11° a řemeslném pivovaru Chříč.
Pivo z plastu ... No ...
