We Are Alive! Special Drink
Today my daughter was very excited about her special drink. She says the "secret" ingredient is snow!
She gathers up a bowl full of snow and lets it melt, then she adds flavored syrup, some spices and some cream. She was so excited that she made this recipe up herself.
I tried some and it was sweet and spicy and a little creamy. And very cold - that must have been from the "secret" ingredient.
I sure hope the snow-water was clean!
Learning How to Spel
We found a paper with a note for mom, while she was still pregnant with our littlest one. She wrote this note all by herself about a year ago. Her "d" and "b" get mixed up and everything is spelled phonetically.
Just to see the improvement, we had her write the exact same thing again now.
We noticed such a huge improvement! Her letters look better, her spelling is much better. She had to use the eraser a few times, but this was the end result. Big improvement over a year.
Well done!!!!

When I was a kid we would make "snowcream"
Clean snow (I hope it was clean)
Sugar, milk, and vanilla - stir and eat. It was sort of a kid's version of shaved ice or a snowcone. In retrospect it would have been even better with heavy cream or whipping cream.
I remember praying for snow during the winter, for a snow day from school and to make snowcream :)

How proud we are to see the improvement in their writing. These small advances fill us with joy and make us see how much our children have grown and learned.
My oldest daughter, when she was in her first year of high school, took an elective course called the Palmer Method, where she improved her handwriting a lot and could also write in different ways.
