Today has been a very peaceful day. I slept in this morning and had a late lunch. A few hours later the sun is setting - the days are short but they're getting longer and longer.

Seder Olam

I have a book called "Ancient Seder Olam: A Christian Translation of the 2000 year old scroll". Seder Olam means "Order of the World" or "Progression of Time". It's an ancient scroll that accounts for time from creation, using scripture passages. If it is accurate, we can account how many years from creation when events took place.

I cam across a certain passage that really caught my attention. Maybe it was the bold print that was chosen for certain words:

Ooooh, facinating! But of course I want to go to the source. Certain choice words are used like "rapture" and "invasion". I would like some clarity on the exact words used. Thankfully, I can visit sephora.com and read the original language.

It took me a little to find the passage.

A little copy/paste, a little chatGPT and I have a literal transation from the original language. Some slight differences:

"And in the second year of Ahaziah, Elijah was hidden and was not seen until the arrival of King Messiah. Then he will appear and be hidden again, and he will not be seen until the coming of Gog and Magog. And now he writes down the deeds of all generations."

Connection to the Gospel

What is fascinating for anyone familiar with the gospel is this passage in Matthew 17, where Yeshua says "Elijah has already come":

What a fascinating connection! And what a fascinating time we live in, where we have access to these ancient scrolls, translated from Hebrew and visible on my phone while laying in bed, reading a book.
