Today grandma came to give piano lessons and my brother came with her. Often times he's very bored, looking for things to do while mom finishes giving her lesson. But not bored today! We visited the park! And we brought my little boy too!

The two of them loved exploring the forest. We found a very large tree.

While on the hike, we came to a bend in the trail. My little partner said there might be tarantulas ahead, so we armed ourselves with sticks, just in case.

We turned the corner and no tarantulas, but we did get buzzed by a KC-135T Stratotanker from the airbase nearby!

Zoooooom!!!! We made our way back to the car to drive to the big lake.

We could see Detroit across the lake, the famous Renaissance building in the distance.

We observed ice forming on the edge of the water. In a few months, this lake will be completely frozen.

It was a very peaceful walk and both boys were very happy to have had gone, even if it was very cold.
