My experiment was a success! One of the bounties that we received from Forgotten Harvest is a large number of grapes. We have to use them quickly before they go bad or moldy. We thought of some ideas: freeze them, juice them or maybe... dehydrate them!

I placed them evenly on the dehydrating tray and let them dry over night. I check on them and they are still looking too juicy. I dehydrated another evening and they still look like grapes. But I dehydrated them one more night and...

It's amazing watching grapes turn into raisins, in my mind they are two different things - but the reality is that raisins are just dehydrated grapes.

But these are raisins like I've never had before. They're very sweet and tender, not very dry, sort of like dried cherries, but with a different and very pleasant flavor.

With this success, I'm going to try again with a new batch of grapes.
