Sunday: Presentation of Pleyade Dances.

Saturday and Sunday, Saturday was a reunion with friends that we always do at Christmas, but Sunday was wonderful, since I was called to cover a musical event, the closing of the year of the PLEYADE dance school.

I have a neighbor who is also a hivers, but she has not been able to be there again because of problems, one of them the Internet because the data is also lousy.

So I was delighted to go, it was the second time I was called to be the official photographer of the event, so when I woke up early on Sunday, I prepared my food because I was going to be almost all day, I left in the morning, the event was to start at 2 pm, but I did not want to go alone later.

They called me to know if I was ready, the car would be looking for them, so I said yes, just comb my hair and that was it. I had everything else ready: camera, extension cord, my glasses hehehe, my food and water.

We arrived at the Angostura Theater, which many years ago was a movie theater. As I had been told that the air conditioning had already been repaired, I took a sweater because it was very cold, when we entered there were already other girls, mothers and the dance director teacher was already making up the little ones.

While I was looking for where I was going to place myself to have a better focus to take the pictures, I made sure to also see where there was a power connection, to connect the camera when I indicated low battery

The morning went by, they did their dress rehearsal, marking the spaces as they say in the dance world, once the rehearsal was over, it was time for lunch, finish touching up, prepare everything, because in the world of show business whether dance, film, music everything is timed, imagine the girls who dance in several numbers and must change quickly, the younger ones are helped by their mothers, but the older ones do it by themselves.

The curtain was closed, so that nothing could be seen, and by the time people started arriving, everything else was already checked and under control: lights, sound,

Being here made me remember two important moments in my life: when I was a 14 year old girl I was in a dance group, I like to dance that skirts fly because it is what it looks like and then when I was a teacher I taught dances to my students and I danced with them too,

It is 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the curtain opens, the name of PLEYADE is seen, golden in that black background of the curtains a great contrast, the applause of all present floods the place, the animator or the person in charge of carrying it comes out, presenting a small biography of the dance school.

The numbers ranged from group and solo, from folkloric to contemporary, lots of color, lots of glitter, wonderful music. This school is more than just dances, they also teach them modeling, ethics, make-up, hairstyling.

They were recognized between number and number those fathers, mothers, collaborators who support the school to their daughters, as it is the duty of every parent, many of them excited.

But it was not only Pleyade, there were also other groups invited to give them the opportunity to see their work, some were a group of CheerLeader from a school and another group of dancers RSD, who made a Christmas musical.

Most of the numbers presented were 2 to 5 minutes long, but anything can happen.

Once all the dances were presented, the closing is that all the girls are presented, girls because the students range from 4 to 20 years old or so, are grouped by levels, the highest being the Elite.

Now it was their turn to be recognized for their performance in the dance. And the act ended, the parents were happy, applause, but then they started to pick up, put away, leave everything as they found it, clean,

Already all ready to wait with my neighbors to pick us up, the gentleman arrived, we arrived, it was a lovely day for me, after I dedicated myself to download the photos and videos, then the mothers come to see and which ones to choose and pay.
