CELEBRATION TRADITION

Having a family that celebrates Christmas and holds it in high esteem is a huge blessing to me, I grew up in a beautiful and large family who loves celebration in general and the mouth of December is no different at all.

Over the years and up till now,the month of December is always a month of celebration tradition filled with more happiness in my family because firstly we are going on holiday away from school stress and anxiety, secondly,we will be receiving extended families from far and near, and also we will be getting new clothes and shoes to our closet.
It's a month set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in particular,we get to enjoy Christmas carol at our place of worship so the month is special.
One tradition we enjoyed most is the Father Christmas (Santa Claus) that comes to our school to share gifts and the dance is always fun and you see us Mimicking the father Christmas because it's an happy atmosphere, you see true joy when everyone shouts "Father Christmas is here" 😂😂😂

In this special month our parents gets us different cloths in fact up to 4 different outfit, for Christmas, for the Sunday after Christmas which is the last Sunday of the year, for new year day and also the first Sunday of the year, most of this cloths are native atiers because we are many and it's also cheaper, so we will all move to the tailor to choose our different styles with so much excitement in us and they will make our 'and co.' for us. same goes with our shoes and sometimes we get English outfits depending on the financial situation of that year.
Then on the D-Day of Christmas we get to cook pounded yam and egusi which is my dad's favorite, rice for people we have invited and we most kill chicken no matter the matter even if we have lots of cow meat there must be killing of a chicken,.
we are always asked to take food to friends and family around inturn those people will dash us Christmas money, I was always specific about the family I take food to because some won't give you a Kobo.
I'm not the walking around type but my siblings do, I prefer to just stay back with my mum in doing her work or at her photo studio, many customers tends to give me my Christmas money then.

No matter the situation there's always Christmas cloth and shoes to wear even when we are older and not really interested in those things
this year will definitely be different because all siblings has said they won't be going home for the festive season just like me, so it would only be my parents and the youngest baby of the house celebrating definitely there won't be much going on at home and no taking of food to anyone again as people have moved past that food tradition and also we have moved to a new environment which made family to be far away. But I have promised to make sure everyone around me enjoy the happiness in which the season brings for us.

Thank you for reading Merry Christmas 🎁🎄🎄🎄⛄

It might be on the cheaper side but your parents have prepared 4 different type of clothes to you and your siblings to make sure that you have new clothes to wear they they also made sure that you will have good food to it that you can share with the neighbors. It's a little sad that you can't go home to your parents this season so hope you will be complete next year. Happy holidays from my family to yours. 😁

My parents are the real MVPs because they ensure our clothes are complete even when they don't have new ones to wear. We hope next year will be better so we can all see each other again. Same wishes 💕
