A simple act of kindness ~ week 185

Hello everyone!!!
Happy weekend to you all, hope your weekend graces you with amazing and interesting experiences, even as the year comes to an end, it is never too late to achieve that thing you've always wanted. Special thanks to @galenkp for these interesting topics.

This year started amazingly, but at some point things became different, the Nigerian currency redesign led to the cashless policy we experienced in the early part of the year, I can vividly remember how people struggled just to get cash for their daily activities, from cashless to the removal of fuel subsidy that led to the increment of transportation, the hunger strike in the nation is crazy, people are suffering.

There are a lot of people begging, and hustling hard on the street, children Hawking at the local market just to assist their families.

There was a day I went to the local market to get something, and I was thirsty, looking for where to get water to quench my thirst then I saw a very young boy about seven years of age selling water, I called him to get the water from him when he got closer to me, I looked at his eyes and I noticed he wasn't feeling fine healthwise then I asked him if he is alright he said no, I couldn't ask him why he still came out to sell with his health like that because I know the reason. At that moment I gave him the money I had left with me, I wish I had more.

This festive season is a season of love, I greatly believe it's a season to spend quality time with family and loved ones, it should go beyond that, it should also be about looking out for someone till they become a better version of themselves and never leave behind those who need a helping hand around you. And that brings me to the topic I've selected for this weekend.

If you could perform one act of charity and kindness for an unprivileged person this Christmas, what would it be and why? Remember to use your photo.

I would love to do something that will last long, something unforgettable, I would support a child in getting a better education because if someone didn't perform an act of kindness in my life I wouldn't be where I am today, I would do the same to help a child get a good education to elevate his or her family from poverty. Growing up I've always loved children, I love seeing them happy and lacking nothing. That's why when I see children who are supposed to be in school hawking in the market I feel bad, just wish I had plenty of money to send them to school and to be a better person.

So my act of charity or kindness I would perform this Christmas is to look for an unprivileged child and support the child in his or her education.

Thanks for reading🌹.
