Dead Pony Club Session-IPA (DE/ENG)
Der Beersaturday vom @detlev geht in eine neue Runde. Und pünktlich zum vergangenem Hivefest präsentierte detlev das neue Spiel „Beerpong“.
Das könnt ihr hier Beersaturdays.com finden und schon einmal ausprobieren wenn ihr möchtet.
Auch ich habe schon ein paar Runden gespielt und meine Talentlosigkeit im virtuellem Beerpong unter Beweis gestellt. Im wahren leben klappte das früher besser (glaube ich).
Wie der Beer-Token (Hive oder WAX) hier integriert wird, das wird wohl noch bald in weiteren Entwicklungsschritten veröffentlicht werden.

I have already played a few rounds and proved my lack of talent in virtual Beerpong. In real life it used to work better (I think).
How the Beer token (Hive or WAX) is integrated here, that will probably be published soon in further development steps.

In dieser Woche habe ich mir ein Session-IPA von den Brewdogs ausgesucht. Das Session-IPA ist mein erstes diese Art. Hierbei handelt es sich sozusagen um ein leichtes IPA, sozusagen ein IPA-Lite. Das Bier hat den interessanten Namen DEAD PONY CLUB.
This week I chose a session IPA from the Brewdogs. The Session IPA is my first of its kind. This is a light IPA, so to speak, an IPA-Lite.
The beer has the interesting name DEAD PONY CLUB.
Das DEAD-PONY-CLUB hat einen Alkoholgehalt von 3,8% Vol. und die Zutaten beschränken sich auf das Wesentliche "Wasser, Gerstenmalz, Hopfen und Hefe".
DEAD-PONY-CLUB has an alcohol content of 3.8% by volume and the ingredients are limited to the essentials "water, barley malt, hops and yeast".
Die Flasche mit dem Logo und dem Spruch "United we stand for better beer" gefällt mir besonders gut.
I especially like the bottle with the logo and the saying "United we stand for better beer".
Schon beim Öffnen der Flasche strömt ein wunderbar fruchtiger Duft in die Nase, den ich so sehr bei einem IPA mag.
Im Glas präsentiert sich das Bier in einem gelb-goldenen Farbton mit einer kleinen nicht sehr stabilen Schaumkrone.
Auch im Geschmack findet man einen Mix aus verschiedenen Zitrusfrüchen und einer malzigen Süße wieder. Der Hopfen kommt auch sehr gut durch und gibt dem Bier eine schöne herbe Note.
Einzig im Abgang ist es wenig Gehaltvoll und leicht wässrig.
As soon as you open the bottle, a wonderful fruity aroma pours into your nose, which I like so much in an IPA.
In the glass, the beer presents itself in a yellow-golden hue with a small not very stable foam crown.
On the palate, you'll also find a mix of various citrus fruits and a malty sweetness. The hops also come through very well and give the beer a nice tart note.
Only in the finish it is little content and slightly watery.
Fazit zum Bier:
Mein erstes Session-IPA ist Geschmacklich gut. Leider ist es mir im Abgang zu wässrig. Aber mit den niedrigen Alkoholgehalt ist es vielleicht auch nicht anders zu erwarten. Mein Favorit bleibt das Punk IPA ebenfalls von Brewdog.
Beer Conclusion:
My first session IPA is good in taste. Unfortunately, it is too watery for me in the finish. But with the low alcohol content it is perhaps not to be expected otherwise. My favorite remains the Punk IPA also from Brewdog.

Punk IPA haben wir hier auf Mallorca auch. Ich habe es probiert, ist aber nicht mein Ding. Vielleicht müsste ich diese light Version mal probieren, aber grundsätzlich mag ich kein "light" (deswegen trotz vielem Sport zu hohen Cholesterol lol)

We've got Punk IPA as well here on Mallorca, I've tried it, but don't like IPA, so didn't like it. Maybe I'd need to try this light version, but in general I don't like "light" (That's why my cholesterol is too high eventhough I do a lot of sports.... lol)
Die Brewdog Jungs machen definitiv gute Biere und auch deutlich mehr als das Punk IPA.
Wenn Du mal einen Ihrer „Tempel“ findest, dann nimm Dir Zeit, was zu essen und das große Probiertablett. Echt Lecker
Dead pony club is a better good !BEER as you say a little on the light side due to the lack of malt (and thus alcohol) but I find it pretty refreshing for those times I want something a bit lighter
