BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge! RULESET: Counterspell
(Edited)
Hello, great warriors of Splinterlands, I hope you all are doing good and enjoying your day. Today I am again here sharing my entry for the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge "Ruleset: Counterspell
" which is offered by @splinterlands. In this post, I am sharing about my battle with another ruleset because I didn't get a Magic Reflect ruleset in my last 2 days' battles. You can also participate in this weekly challenge, to know more about how to participate in this challenge visit this link.
About Counterspell:
Counterspell
is a ruleset in Splinterlands battles in which all monsters receive the magic reflect ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that attack with magic receive damage back.
Damage returned is equal to the damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
Magic units with the reflection shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.
The amplify ability increases damage.

Battle Ruleset:
The battle rulesets were of
Silenced Summoner and Close Range
. The allowed mana cap was 17
and all Splinter's summoners were active in this battle.Battle Summoner
In this battle, I chose the
Zintar Mortalis
as a summoner because I have upgraded this summoner to level 4, and most of the time it is easy for me to win battles with it. It is a beta edition Rare Death Splinter Summoner that costs 3 mana and has one ability which is to reduce the melee attack of all melee attack monsters in the enemy team by -1. Most of the time I use it in the battles because this is my favorite splinter summoner and it was the first summoner I upgraded in this game at the beginning. I have upgraded it to level 4 and mostly I am using it in my battles. Under this summoner, I can use up to level 5 common cards.
1. HAUNTED SPIRIT
As usual, in the first position, I used
HAUNTED SPIRIT
which is a beta edition rare melee attack monster from the Death Splinter. Most of the time I use it in the first position because of its healing ability. It costs 5 mana, does -2 melee damage, and has Heal ability at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 4 in which its melee attack increases to 3 and also gains one more ability Reflection. I mostly use this Death Splinter card in my battles because it is my favorite card that I use in the first position of the Death Splinter deck. I prefer to use it in the low-mana battles because it works really well for me. Also, this battle mana was low so I prefer to use the death splinter and the low mana cards in it. I used it in the first position because of its Healing
and Reflection
abilities.
2. SHADOWY PRESENCE:
In the second position, I used
SHADOWY PRESENCE
which is a reward edition Epic no-attack monster from the Death Splinter. It is a no-attack monster that costs 1 mana and has no ability at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 3 in which it gains one ability Strengthen
which increases 1 life of all friendly monsters. I used it in the second position and in this battle because of its strength ability. Currently, I have this monster at level 3.
3. FALLEN SPECTER:
In the third position, I used
FALLEN SPECTER
which is also a reward edition legendary magic attack monster from the Death Splinter. It costs 2 mana, does -1 magic attack, and has one ability Flying at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 2 in which it gains one more ability Demoralize
. I used it in this battle and in the third position because it cost only 2 mana and the battle mana cap was very low so I prefer to use monsters of low mana. Using this monster worked very well for me in winning this battle.
4. UNDEAD PRIEST:
In the fourth position, I used
UNDEAD PRIEST
which is a Beta edition rare no-attack monster at level 1 from the Death splinter. It costs 2 mana, does not attack, and has a Weaken
ability at level 1. When I started this game I upgraded the Death Splinter first and it was one of the cards that I upgraded early because of its magic attack along with the Weaken ability. I have upgraded it to level 3 for a -1 magic attack. Same as the Fallen Specter it costs only 2 mana so I used it in this battle.
5. RAVENHOOD WARDEN:
In the fifth position, I used
RAVENHOOD WARDEN
which is a reward edition rare range attack monster from the Death Splinter. It costs 4
mana, does a -2 range attack, and has Protect
ability at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 3 in which its range attack increases to -2. I used it in the fifth position and in this battle because of its Protect ability which will give +2 armor to all friendly monsters.
6. FURIOUS CHICKEN:
In the first position, I used
FURIOUS CHICKEN
which is also a reward edition rare no-attack monster from the neutral splinter. It is the rarest card in the SplinterlandsIt because it costs 0 mana and belongs to a neutral splinter(we can use it in all battles except when there is a change in the ruleset). It costs 0 mana, does no attack at level 1, and also has no ability at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 3 for 1 melee attack. Here in this battle, I used it in the last position because if the enemy team has used a Sneak ability monster it will be targeted and my other monsters will be safe.
Battle Result:
I have won this battle and was rewarded with 0.396 SPS.
Did your strategy work?
Yes, my strategies worked very well for me in this battle and as a result, I won it.
