Hello, everyone welcome to a wonderful week and I’m glad to join in the debate on money or love. Seeing this discussion on the platform I couldn’t agree less of how interesting this week is going to be.

Money and love are essential parts of human existence and each possesses its purpose and uniqueness meaning they both work hand in hand. A lot of us can only define this topic based on our personal experiences and personal circumstances

What is love?

Love, an emotion as old as time itself holds greater meaning than what we define it as. Love is a deep feeling for oneself and another.
Love works as a bind that brings two or more individuals together.
Love at its peak enriches life, creates boundaries, and gives life meaning and purpose.
Love is an undeniable feeling to give your whole to somebody, family, thing, and pet.

As sweet as the feeling is it also comes with its challenges because when you love you become vulnerable to people and fear of losing them gives you heartache

What is money?

Money is known to be in the form of currency used for the exchange of goods and services. It opens doors, gives you power over a lot of things and places, gives you a luxury lifestyle you can afford, promises security, and is an enabler to pursue one’s dream without limitations.

The relentless pursuit of money/wealth can lead to the consumption of one’s time and energy leading to us rejecting or leaving behind other important aspects of our lives such as personal relationships, and health issues causing short life spans.

This pursuit of money without love can lead you to a dangerous path due to intimidation from society, family, and peers.

These two serve different benefits and purposes and also bring us to the discovery of the negative aspects of our lives that we can relate to.
These negative of aspects can be controlled if we can do both without leaving the other behind. Even if we had to pursue these two things singly I’ll advise you to go for love first, love will control our heavy desire to be wealthy and lead us on the right path.

Bringing reference to a story my mother told me about a young boy from a wealthy home who grew up as an orphan and became wayward because of the parental love he lacked.
in the story my mom told me as he grew he had access to all his parent's wealth and didn't make good use of it due to the mental depression he found himself in.
Here in this story money was available but love was nowhere to be found.
