So last week we had our very first Splinterfest, an exciting gathering that brought together the Splinterlands Team and many famous names of the game. Many enthusiast across the SL realm ventured to Las Vegas to a attend the magical event; meting with team and fellow game lovers, sharing fun, experiences and suggestions and participating the most ambitious tournament in game's history.

Whereas the rest of us lot was concerned, all we could do was envy the lucky Splinterfest participants. Meanwhile our eyes were also focused on sneak peeks, eyes candies and other related exciting stuff. One of the highlight of this Splinterfest was the unveiling of a limited Legendary Promo Card; LUX VEGA.

Revealed on the very first day of the Splinterfest, LUX VEGA is the very first legendary neutral summoners. Yes, you heard it right a legendary neutral summoner...I will be dammed! Over the course of game so far, we have had many summoners each belonging to different splinter...but we never had a neutral summoner. I always wondered if it's possible. So, SL team finally done in and we have got our very first neural summoner.

𝓛𝓮𝓽𝓼 𝓭𝓸 𝓪 𝓺𝓾𝓲𝓬𝓴 𝓪𝓷𝓪𝓵𝔂𝓼𝓲𝓼 𝓸𝓯 𝓛𝓤𝓧 𝓥𝓔𝓖𝓐, 𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓼 & 𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓼 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓾𝓽𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂 𝓼𝓱𝓮 𝔀𝓲𝓵𝓵 𝓸𝓯𝓯𝓮𝓻:

LUX VEGA will cost 5 mana and being a neutral summoner she can summons monsters from every splinter she desires(except Dragon). She would grant all friendlies +1 shield, +1 health and +1 speed.

P͡R͡O͡S͡

  • Being a neutral summoner is a huge benefit in itself. Although Dragon summoners can also summon monsters from any splinter but in case of unavailability of Dragon Splinter LUX VEGA can assume the summoning role and give the player flexibility in monsters choice.
  • LUX VEGA will come maxed out. So she will be a nice option for anyone with no so much upgraded other summoners. Get a LUX VEGA and you have a maxed summoner at your disposal to summon any kind of Splinter monsters you like. Earlier WAKA SPIRITBLADE came pre-maxed but she belonged to only death splinter.

C͡O͡N͡S͡

  • Whereas stats of LUX VEGA are good, but still they are not out of the world. Take that neutral part out, with these stats I would rate VEGA a good rare summoner or may be(may be) epic.
  • And also not being able to summon dragons is another big downside of VEGA. Dragon monsters are amazingly powerful and VEGA simply takes them off the table. I don't like that...honestly.
  • Being a 5 mana summoner means VEGA will not be available for Little League ruleset. Now compare VEGA with WAKA which is a 3 mana summoner.

Well splinterfest participants are gonna get VEGA at discounted price and whereas the rest of us can either buy it during the presale or hope for a secondary market buy. With fuss settling down, I expect to see LUX VEGA to be traded anywhere between $500-$1000 in secondary market. It will for sure draw some extra value for being available in limited numbers and being a reminder of Splinterfest. But still anything above $1000 will be too much for summoner with these stats.
I expect VEGA price to follow the pattern of WAKA's price. There will be a initial fud and after that the price will slum down to a more realistic level.

C͡l͡o͡s͡i͡n͡g͡ T͡h͡o͡u͡g͡h͡t͡s͡

LUX VEGA will be indeed a nice option to have at one's disposal. It will be a nice monster in medium mana summoners class because of the degree of freedom it offers, but I don't expect it to be a game changer.

Lux Vegas's (LOL. It sounds Las Vegas. Now I know where the name originated from. 😁) abilities are indeed very desirable. But for a price of 1k USD, I would rather chose to use it to build my deck. The only time I would buy a promo card that expensive would be if I have maxed out all my summoners and monsters. 😊
