Was Biden's phone call AI-generated? What do you think?

Die Art und Weise, wie Biden plötzlich von der Präsidentschaftskandidatur zurückgetreten ist, war schon ziemlich merkwürdig. Anstatt so eine wichtige Entscheidung persönlich bekanntzugeben, kündigte er den Schritt nur mit einem Posting auf Social Media (X) an.

Das ist kaum zu glauben und hat dann wieder für neue Verschwörungstheorien gesorgt. Es könnte sich um einen Coup handeln, sein Team hätte ihn vor vollendete Tatsachen gestellt, Biden wüsste vlt nicht einmal, dass er zurückgetreten ist. Manche forderten sogar einen Proof of Life.

Diesen versuchten die Demokraten dann hastig mit einem improvisierten Telefon-Anruf von Joe Biden mit Kamala Harris zu erbringen, die jetzt plötzlich von den MSM in den Himmel gelobt wird.

Aber sehr überzeugend war das auch nicht. Der Telefonanruf wirkte für manche nicht echt, es gab am Anfang einen Versprecher von Harris, "Joe, I know you’re still on the rec…the call", der nahelegte, dass es sich vielleicht um eine Aufzeichnung (Recording) handelte.

Auf X hat jemand den Telefonanruf mit einem AI-Tool von ElevenLabs überprüft, ob die Stimme KI-generiert wurde.

Und haltet euch fest, das Classifier-Tool denkt, dass es sich sehr wahrscheinlich (zu 98%) um eine KI handelt.

Im Zeitalter von KI, weiß man wirklich nicht mehr, was jetzt echt ist und was nicht, obwohl das Posting von einem offiziellen Account kam.

Allerdings kann auch so ein KI-Überprüfungs-Tool Fehler machen und fälschlicherweise denken, dass die Stimme KI-generiert sei. Vielleicht weil es sich um eine Telefonaufnahme in schlechter Qualität handelte. Das könnte das Tool vielleicht verwirren.

Da KIs generell viele Fehler machen, denke ich nicht, dass Harris live mit einer KI geredet hat. Das wäre nach heutigem Stand der Technik einfach viel zu riskant. Eher könnte es sich um eine Aufzeichnung handeln, real oder von einer KI, aber auch das muss nicht der Fall sein.

The way Biden suddenly withdrew from the presidential race was a bit strange. Instead of announcing such an important decision in person, Biden only announced the move with a post on social media (X).

This is hard to believe and has given rise to new conspiracy theories. It could be a coup, his team could have presented him with a fait accompli, Biden might not even know that he had resigned. Some even called for a proof of life.

The Democrats then hastily tried to provide this with an impromptu phone call from Joe Biden to Kamala Harris, who is now suddenly being praised to the skies by the MSM.

But that wasn't very convincing either. The phone call didn't seem genuine to some, there was a slip from Harris at the beginning, “Joe, I know you're still on the rec...the call”, suggesting that it was perhaps a recording.

On X, someone checked the phone call with an AI tool from ElevenLabs to see if the voice was AI-generated.

And brace yourselves, the classifier tool thinks it's very likely (98%) AI.

In the age of AI, you really don't know what's real any more, even though the post came from an official account.

However, even such an AI verification tool can also make mistakes and mistakenly think that the voice is AI-generated. Perhaps because it was a poor quality phone recording. This could confuse the tool.

Since AIs generally make a lot of mistakes, I don't think Harris was talking live to an AI. That would simply be far too risky given the current state of technology. It could more likely be a recording, real or from an AI, but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case either.
