I guess they wouldn't encourage a lifestyle based on the song "Living After Midnight" by Judas Priest. It's never good to see authoritarianism and loss of freedoms. Little by little is how governments steal your rights. It's also how dictators take power which is even scarier.

I think more surveillance in the name of security isn't wise, next thing you know they will be tracking everyone 24/7. Big brother's watching..

the slogan is a good reminder to make the most of one's time and opportunities.

We should also make everyday count by doing something meaningful

It is nice of the theater to post such poster. it could motivate a lot of people as they pass through the theater.

It's an interesting message and it's definitely concerning that the people in power want to control what we can do also.

Diese Bitte, Weckruf, Aufforderung – oder wie immer man den angedachten Imperativ auch für sich selbst zu benennen gedenkt, ist sehr eng mit der Historie Europas verbunden.
Nicht sehr viele Dekaden sind vergangen, als wirtschaftliche Not, Unzufriedenheit und das Gefühl nicht gehört zu werden, dazu anregte, blind dem "Heilsbringer" und dessen Schergen zu folgen, sich jubelnd bei jenen einzureihen, ohne zu erkennen, dass sie mit an dem Bühnenvorhang ziehen, der die Tragödie in dunkles Licht eintauchte.
Heutzutage fürchtet man um den Erhalt mühsam erwirtschafteter Rücklagen und sucht oft vergebens nach positiven Perspektiven. Schafft es jedoch lediglich bis zur heimischen Couch, von der aus emotional formulierte, jedoch nicht unbedingt wirklich durchdachte Botschaften viral gehen. In diesem Fall muss das Adjektiv »viral« in seiner Doppeldeutigkeit Bestand haben. Denn die permanente Unzufriedenheit scheint wahrlich durch einen viralen Infekt ausgelöst. Nur streitet man sich eifrig um den Auslöser. Lediglich das Krankheitsbild scheint eindeutig. Viel maulen und selbst nichts tun.
Und die, die nicht weiterzuschlafen gedenken, werden mit Wut, Hass und Ablehnung bedacht, weil sie unser, eigentlich gar nicht so schlechtes Dasein durch „irrationale“ Aktionen unnötig aus der Umlaufbahn zu bringen versuchen.
Möglicherweise haben diese »Störer« jedoch eine ganz andere Intension?
Es könnte sein, dass sie nur laut ausrufen:

Aufwachen - bevor es wieder dunkel wird.

This plea, wake-up call, summons - or whatever you want to call the intended imperative for yourself - is very closely linked to Europe's history.
Not very many decades have passed since economic hardship, dissatisfaction and the feeling of not being heard prompted people to blindly follow the "saviour" and his henchmen, to cheerfully join them without realising that they were also pulling on the stage curtain that cast the tragedy in a dark light.
Nowadays, people fear for the preservation of hard-earned reserves and often search in vain for positive prospects. However, they only make it as far as the couch at home, from where emotionally formulated but not necessarily well thought-out messages go viral. In this case, the adjective "viral" must hold its own in its ambiguity. Because the permanent dissatisfaction really does seem to have been triggered by a viral infection. The only problem is that the trigger is still being hotly debated. Only the clinical picture appears unambiguous. A lot of grumbling and a lot of doing nothing.
And those who don't want to sleep on are met with anger, hatred and rejection. They are trying to throw our not so bad existence out of orbit unnecessarily through "irrational" actions.
But perhaps these "disruptors" have something else in mind?
It could be that they are just shouting loudly:

Wake up - before it goes back to darkness.

Egal wie die Ursprungsintention dieses Slogans war, es betrifft so viele Bereiche unseres Lebens: politisch, gesellschaftlich, spirituell (!) usw. Und wer es immer noch nicht schnallt, na ja, zumindest das Unterbewusstsein speichert die Info und eines Tages passiert vielleicht etwas "Magisches" ;)
