New head mount for my Quest 2: How comfortable is the Bobo VR head strap really?

Habe mir statt einer Quest 3 einen neuen Strap für meine alte Quest 2 gegönnt.

Die Bobo VR M2 Plus (mit Batterie als Gegengewicht) soll die komfortabelste Halterung für die Quest-Brillen sein und es gibt auch bereits eine Version für die Quest 3.

Die Halterung ist tatsächlich wesentlich angenehmer als das Standard-Band von Meta, das eigentlich gekübelt gehört.

Die Bobo-Halterung ist eine Halo-Style-VR-Halterung, die das Gewicht vom Gesicht auf den Kopf und die obere Stirn verteilt, in dem sie einen zusätzlichen Ring (Halo) um den Kopf spannt. Damit wird der extrem unangenehme Druck auf das Gesicht entfernt bzw. gelindert.

Man kann die Halterung sogar so einstellen, dass die gesamte Quest 2 das Gesicht nicht einmal berührt.

Zusätzlich gibt es die Möglichkeit, eine Batterie als Gegengewicht auf den hinteren Teil des Straps zu befestigen, was ich ebenfalls empfehlen kann.

Damit wird die Quest 2 insgesamt um circa 200 g schwerer (mit Batterie), aber das Gewicht verteilt sich mit der Halterung wesentlich besser.

Mit dem neuen Strap ist die Quest 2 wesentlich angenehmer zu tragen, aber leicht ist die gesamte Konstruktion auch nicht.

Ich bekomme nach circa 10 Minuten immer noch eine rote Druckstelle auf der Stirn, aber es ist bei weitem nicht so unangenehm wie mit dem Standard-Strap.

Einige User berichten sogar, mit dem alternativen Strap eine Stunde oder mehr in VR verbringen zu können.

Was sagt ihr dazu? Denke VR-Brillen müssen noch wesentlich leichter werden, damit man sie wirklich längere Zeit verwenden kann.

I treated myself to a new strap for my old Quest 2 instead of a Quest 3.

The Bobo VR M2 Plus (with battery as a counterweight) is supposed to be the most comfortable strap for the Quest out there and there is already a version for the Quest 3 too.

The mount is actually much more comfortable than the standard strap from Meta, which is garbage.

The Bobo mount is a halo-style VR mount that distributes the weight from the face to the head and upper forehead by stretching an additional ring (halo) around the head. This removes or alleviates the extremely uncomfortable pressure on the face.

You can even adjust the strap so that the entire Quest 2 does not even touch your face.

There is also the option of attaching a battery to the rear part of the strap as a counterweight, which I can highly recommend.

This makes the Quest 2 about 200 g heavier overall (with the additional battery), but the weight is much better distributed that way.

With the new strap, the Quest 2 is much more comfortable to wear, but the whole construction is not light either.

I still get a red pressure mark on my forehead after about 10 minutes, but it's nowhere near as uncomfortable as with the default strap.

Some users even report being able to spend an hour or more in VR with the alternative strap.

What do you think? I think VR glasses still need to become much lighter so that you can really use them for longer periods of time.
