Wie viel Strom braucht ein E-Bike für 100 Kilometer?

Habe mir das für mein E-Bike (ADO A20S) ausgerechnet und zwar unter Real-Bedingungen. Nicht die beworbenen Werte, sondern, was es tatsächlich im Betrieb, so wie ich es verwende, benötigt.

Fahre das E-Bike in der Stadt in der geringsten Assistenz-Stufe (Stufe 1) mit der maximalen Geschwindigkeit 25 km/h, so weit das möglich ist.

Damit komme ich bis zur Batterie-Warnung auf circa 60 gefahrene Kilometer. In Stufe 3 waren es ungefähr 50 Kilometer.

Der Akku ist mit 345.6 Wh (typical) angegeben. Das würde auf 100 km dann circa 0.6 KWh ausmachen, wobei der Akku allerdings nie ganz entladen wird. Andererseits muss man auch noch die Verlustleistung beim Laden berücksichtigen, was den realen Energiebedarf noch um 25-30% erhöht.

Komme so auf circa 0.75 KWh realen Verbrauch auf 100 km. Das ist erstaunlich wenig. Ein Elektroauto benötigt per 100 km zum Vergleich 20-30 KWh, circa das 30-fache eines E-Bikes.

Ein E-Bike benötigt real sogar weniger als 1 Kilowattstunde für 100 Kilometer. Angeblich sogar weniger Energie als wenn ein Mensch die 100 km mit reiner Muskelkraft fahren würde, da der E-Motor effizienter ist als die Beine eines Menschen. Allerdings muss man bei Pedal-Assist-E-Bikes nach wie vor selber treten. Richtig effizient wäre das Ganze, wenn man gar nicht treten müsste. Aber dann wäre der Workout-Faktor wiederum geringer.

How much electricity does an e-bike need for 100 kilometers?

I calculated this for my e-bike (ADO A20S) under real conditions. Not the advertised values, but what it actually needs in operation, as I use it.

I ride the e-bike in the city at the lowest assistance level (level 1) at a maximum speed of 25 km/h, as far as that is possible.

This gets me to around 60 kilometers before the battery warning. In level 3, it was about 50 kilometers.

The battery is rated at 345.6 Wh (typical). That would equate to around 0.6 KWh per 100 km, although the battery is never fully discharged. On the other hand, you also have to take into account the power loss during charging, which increases the real energy requirement by another 25-30%.

This results in a real consumption of around 0.75 KWh per 100 km. That is surprisingly low. By comparison, an electric car requires 20-30 KWh per 100 km, around 30 times as much as an e-bike.

An e-bike actually requires less than 1 kilowatt hour for 100 kilometers. Allegedly even less energy than if a person were to ride the 100 km using pure muscle power, as the electric motor is more efficient than human legs. However, with pedal-assist e-bikes you still have to pedal yourself. The whole thing would be really efficient if you didn't have to pedal at all. But then again, the workout factor would be lower.
