From Childhood Games to Passion

avatar

Childhood is one of the most exciting moments of our lives, and that's because we have little or no worries; our parents do most of the work while we just depend on them for our every need. Because of that, we've got loads of time to do anything we like, and what we do mostly is play, and in this article, I'll love to tell you about my favorite childhood play.

As a child, we played different types of games, like football, Who Is in the Garden, hide and seek, mummy and daddy, and several others, to mention but a few. All the above-listed games were fun, and I enjoyed indulging in them, but one of them happened to be my favorite, and it also inspired one of the things I'm very good at now as an adult. Yes, that childhood play actually does, and I'll tell you how below.

Mummy and Daddy

The mummy and daddy game is a game that inspires drama and acting as though we're adults and are parents. It's actually fun to indulge in this game, and one reason why I love it is because I regularly see it as an opportunity to show my acting skills as well as display different personalities.

Although, at that age, I've no knowledge about drama or acting, I just play the game with all seriousness and do it as though I'm an actor in a movie, and how the game is played is pretty simple: someone just needs to act as daddy, another would act as mummy, while one or two might act like children. Aside from those characters, if the children available are many, we usually have neighbors, friends, and co., which will make our game more interesting.

I mostly act as the daddy or a friend to the daddy; I hardly act as the child because I've always been tall, right from my childhood, and we don't see how a child would be taller than his parents, so those were most of my cast and what I act as. I remember acting as though I'm a very rich dad who lavishes money on his kids, and I can tell that that act was inspired by what I wished for my parents and me back then.

Basically, we do almost every single act we usually see our parents and adults around us do; we mimic them by talking and acting like them. I remember dad once seeing me during one of such plays, and he was like, What's wrong with this boy? He actually didn't stop us but just watched, and by the evening of that same day, he told mom about it and how I was mimicking him in the game. He said, We better be careful what we do in front of these children.

Although I didn't understand that statement then, I later did, so talking about how that's played a role in one of the things I'm mostly skilled at now is that I grew up to love acting and I joined the drama department in my church. We usually act short playlet, and now that's when I've grown up and even become the drama director in my church.

So that play then put me in the mood of acting and gave me a clue on making things real and being able to play any role you're given. I also write a short playlet script that we can act on, and I'm pleased my childhood favorite play played that key role.

That's all about my favorite childhood play. I hope you enjoyed the read. Have a wonderful day ahead.

I also played the game you mentioned here but as well as I know it's not any official game. 🤣. !LOL
Copying the character and play the role is really interesting.
By the way thank you for informing the name of game.
