Share Your Battle: Axemaster

Prelude
Hello everybody, it's time again for Share Your Battle. Today we share about Axemaster. The suggested card to share is Silent Sha-vi but recently my daily focus has been on Water and Life splinters. So what more appropriate to share one of my key cards that I always play.

Thoughts on Axemaster

Warrior wielding axes and cutting through every enemy in its way, that's how Axemaster is like. And just like this picture, it is 2 axes and not 1.

Let's examine the base stats of Lvl 1 Axemaster.

Bronze League - Health + 1
Silver League - Attack + 1,
Gold League - Health + 1, Close Range
Beyond Gold - Cripple

Other than Djinn Oshannus, Axemaster is another card that I always try to fit into my lineup whenever possible. Especially useful whenever I meet Earth Splinter with Mustang at the front or even help shave down Cursed Windeku without taking too much thorns damage. One really trusted servant that braved many battles with me.

Prediction before pressing rumble
When I saw Yodin, a big sigh went through my head. Recently I rented Yodin and I know how strong it is. Nevertheless, let's see how it turns out.

Let's get ready to rumble

Round 1, With divine shield this round was revolving around the clearing of divine shield.

Round 2, Waning down of the various cards, with Yodin blast ability, many of my cards getting alot of stray hits. Everything else in tact.

Round 3, Grum down, Uraeus down. But generally every card is already very low on health.

Round 4, Radiated Brute down, my Deeplurker down. A few misses due to the speed of Oshannus and we take less damage from blast.

Round 5/6, We disposed whatever that is remaining on the field with barrage from Nerissa, Axemaster and Oshannus. Victory secured.

After Thoughts
Axemaster's barrage is always so so good. With the high speed and boost from Kelya, it is almost a guaranteed hit. The double strike just makes it so lethal, 4 damage can take out tonnes of splinters.

One thing to note is that, Axemaster tends to get taken out from behind by sneakers. So one thing that we can do to keep Axemaster alive to do its work is to get it some protection. As it levels up, it gets way deadlier up to 3 attack of double strike.

Did my strategy work, I am sure it did especially we went for a speedy lineup which allowed us to defeat Yodin. As long as mana permits, Axemaster will definitely fall into my Water Splinter lineup.
