The first time I'd ever read a content on Hive concerning 1UP outpost community was this post created by @Flauwy on Wednesday 3rd October, 2021 at 7:47:15 AM (GMT+1). Today marks around 34 days since the creation of 1UP and its been an amazing community to engage on Hive. This blockchain has never been short of creativity since it provides for scalable BUIDL and feeless and fast transactions.

At first, I thought it was about the defunct Uptrennd that had 1UP as its token name. Seven days after, I again found Flauwy's post and was disappointed that it was something outrightly different from what I thought. I forgave myself and re-read the introduction post about the 1UP community. Just then, my interest about blockchain games was ignited as I got to understand the pride of place that gaming has secured on blockchain and the crypto sphere. Through his post, I got to first do a deep study of Splinterlands content and that led me to delve into "Play2earn blockchain gaming" research. In the creator's words, the 1UP community rewards content creators with ONEUP token which is avaiable on Hive-engine.

A new Hive-Engine token has been created, called ONEUP. It powers a new outpost community called 1UP, which is dedicated to the blockchain gaming market with its PlayToEarn mechanics, as well as the power of NFT assets.

I had since began buying and powering up some ONEUP tokens and as well earning from my gaming posts and I'm looking at a longterm investment with ONEUP. It is decent to see a good buying pressure on ONEUP token from creation till date and its maintaining a solid 5 cent price value in the Hive-engine market. With about $430 24 hour volume of trade, I see the ONEUP token become one of the best performing Hive-engine tokens. With ONEUP DAO and liquidity pools active for ONEUP, it creates more usecase for the token and makes it more fascinating for hive-engine token investors seek to hold it. The Motivation and the Direction

The 1UP project is a visionary one as conceived by Flauwly. Glad that he had smart minds like himself to have collaborated to birth the project in this wonderful and unique way. The 1UP and ONEUP project attempts to take advantage of the disruptions in the gaming industry with #play2earn games becoming an employment option for many who prefer it to 8 to 5 regular work.

We are seeing a disruption in the gaming industry, with the rise of the likes of Axie Infinity and Splinterlands. People are starting to replace their 9-5 jobs with PlayToEarn alternatives. This trend is still in its infancy but is growing quickly by the day. Splintertalk with its SPT token is leading the way but is limited to Splinterlands. There are other games on HIVE and beyond and it is getting increasingly difficult to learn more about all these PlayToEarn opportunities, that are popping up like mushrooms... Besides earning crypto in-game currencies, they are merging with NFTs in forms of rare assets that even create yield just for owning them. And others sell images for millions of Dollars so that even people outside of cryptos have heard of NFTs, as everybody is talking about it. source

We'll definitely agree that the "blockchain gaming, "play2earn" and "GameFi" are becoming trending words in the blockchain and crypto sphere. Already, blockchain game crypto is closely hiting $30 billion in market capitalization and that is becoming a whole huge and big sector on its own. The 1UP community has all of these in mind as it stands centrally to reward everything "blockchain gaming" just like @LeoFinance is doing everything "crypto and finance". We are getting to see strategic communities form on Hive that would help bring the whole world here.

We, the founders, want to develop bridges for NFTs to other blockchains, starting with Aspire, where we created NFT Studios and build our own game ChiFiBots. We want to both bring our assets from there to HIVE and vice-versa. 1UP can become the marketplace the easily swaps assets between your games.... But to really bring value to 1UP we are looking into GameFi, to implement ways to reward owning NFT assets.
