Write out Those Resolutions
While we ushered in the year 2023 I was so reluctant about writing a new year will/ resolution. It seemed useless to me because I am very poor at consistency. Yes, the zeal will be there, the energy will be fully charged and the initials of the journey will go smoothly without bumps until a few years later it will crash.
Social media wasn't even gonna help tho because they kept emphasizing how people set goals without accomplishing them. Well in the year 2023, it wasn't the Usual anymore. I was convinced by a friend of the usefulness of setting out plans for my life as I begin the new year. After a series of discussions and functions, I mapped out my Plans for the year.
I had five major plans for the year. 2023:
- Enroll in a baking School
- Start Nursing programme
- Support my Grandmom financially
- Step up my financial Game
- Save
Out of these 5 goals 3 have been completed, one was being assisted with and one is still hanging. I would say it's a really good result compared to other year's
I read and wrote two major exams that would have ushered me into my Nursing and successfully I got one of them. I'm happy to say that an opportunity to embrace and practice my dream career was given to me in the year 2023 and currently I'm studying.
Secondly, my financial game was being stepped up because I got a remote job in January and since then I have been receiving funds from all the jobs I have been able to do last year.
Since the month of July, I have been saving a particular amount of money monthly and so my resolution on saving has been accomplished.
My grandmother got favored in the month of March by some foreign missionaries who moved because of the devastating condition of her house with 7 grandkids left in her Care. Life hasn't been smooth for my grandmom since my mom joined the Angels. My mom intended to build a house for her since she was living in a mud house, but unfortunately, my mom departed. My uncles Joined and none is left anymore for my grandmom. The condition of the house gets so bad during the rainy season as everything in the house will be soaked with water leaving all of them exposed to many dangers.
After a quick survey by those missionaries on the co-edition of their survival, they were moved to take up the expenses of building a house for themselves and also giving them no thly feeding allowance.
The only item on my bucket list for 2023 is Starting a baking school which I will look into this year.
All I'm saying is that it's possible to write out a bucket list for the year and still accomplish them. Write them all out no matter how minute and insignificant they may look to you. Paste them in places where you could easily see them. It serves as an alarm, a reminder for you just so that you can accomplish them with ease.
Writing of New Year goals can never be outdated and it's still working like magic, just So you know.
Pick up that book or journal write down the goals you want to accomplish this year and see them come to pass.
