( And btw the topic is not relevant, its more about taking action)

Look we know there is manipulation, censorship, and "aggressive opinion" marketing happen.

Like Take your jab, Masks are good and more of this.

But and I think this is worse,

Hiding and deleting potential relevant information for the people ( i mean that could influence voting) is something really dangerous.

IMO there is a difference if marketing and ads are placed to win voters ( that's bad too), to end the neutrality of a platform, and take direct action.

That's against everything the internet stands for.

Information sharing...

And it makes Elections a joke thing if private companies that "control" the opinion take direct action into this. So the Leader, the shareholder or the current government has "the power" to influence the voters in a sneaky censorship way.

the last election was really close. Hammer the Algo on 2%-5% of people can have dramatic results.

Is like Web2 Companies has some "combined vote" of X% of the people that get directly influenced by them.

Anyway.

Marketing on those platforms was always "bad". Not in terms of ROI, but for society. Many lies and promises. Advertisement that looks like "News".

It's all bad.

But things become worse if we keep in mind, that they have a LOT of information about the users.

That's a topic people should care about way more about.

Btw you can also research how "search engines" are not neutral :)

Conclusion:

They come to us and tell us what we should censor.

"no question asked".

That's a problem.
