MY FAVORITE ANIMAL - DOG

Hello dear ones!
I'm not a lover of animals just few of it but I really like dogs alot. if I should choose of what animal to become it will be a dog. Is no doubt that animals are awesome creatures made by God...but dogs are so amazing and exceptional to me. if I was to ask again to choose an animal I will choose dogs over and over again, to me they are more easy going, easy to relate with. Dogs understand humans. Sometimes is weird but they understand languages especially when they are used to the person in question.

How dogs became my favorite animal

We live in one of the local government area in Katsina Nigeria where insecurities has become the order of the day, people live in fear of thieves or been killed by robbers, or been kidnapped. Because that is what has been going on for the past few years and presently, my mom's market colleagues where affected too one was kidnapped the kidnappers requested for 4 million which was paid to them before he was released and the other was shot and she's been hospitalized for weeks and in critical condition.

So many people stop going to the bush market including my mom because of the insecurities in Katsina state and in Nigeria as a whole. So people bring in dogs in their homes to protect them(individuals) and the dogs are use for security purpose for both the rich and the poor.

So i got to love dogs when one was brought to our house for security purpose, actually anytime we are not at home thieves break in our house take our money, with some other things and scatter the house. On different occasions some nuisance will come to the gate of our house knocking unecessaryly and playing pranks when any of us opens the gate there will be no one there. So my brothers decided to bring in a dog to help guide the house, initially mom and I was not comfortable with the idea because it bite and we heard the teeth is poisonous too, but we have to agree on it because the theft was becoming too alarming for us.

So my brothers brought a medium size dog and named her bingo initially we were scared of it my mom and I, but little by little we became fond of the dog, we understand and play with it around the house even though is an animal it can be lovable. We started to communicate with it and what amaze us is that the dog understand what we are saying most at times. The dog also knows how to use the toilet when she feel the need to.

The good thing about the whole thing is that the dog scared and chase away all the thieves that had been coming to our house... wow impressive!!! with the dog around we feel safe again from insecurity. Anytime the thieves try coming into the house the dog will bark and chase them away, the nuisance anytime they sense the presence of a dog around the house they won't bother to come in or play some pranks on us again, we don't need to pay anyone to guide the house for us just like how they do in the cities. We felt peace again. We love and cared for the dog like human, we feed it regularly and my brothers will always bathe it, the dog has her own room Incase we have visitors, anytime we have a visitor we will talk to the dog and she obeys immediately and goes in her room because the dog is not familiar with strangers but us, if we leave it when the visitor are around bingo will bark tirelessly and continuously unless if she's familiar with the person.

My auntie who never liked dogs had no choice but to bring one because of countless thieves that kept disturbing her, the thieves that keep on coming to her house was excessive than ours. The thieves will steal phones, food stuffs in her kitchen and money. We adviced her to bring in one dog for security but she refused but when she couldn't take it any longer she decided to bring in one...she never regret it for once after she listened to our advice by bringing in a dog, she feel peace again in her home. No more thieves or missing stuffs again.

But unfortunately for us our dog bingo became sick and died we felt bad because our dog is a friendly dog though feared by strangers...so few days later we brought in 2dogs one was very little which I do feed him with milk till he grew up and I named him smallest and the other tegar they are good just like the late dog bingo.

We become fond of our dogs that we trained and control them in the way we want. And today we can't live in any house without our dogs around we really enjoy having our dogs around with or without insecurity.

indeed dogs are of great help to humanity.
