Got a new coin a few days ago, with a guy you have probably heard before. I mean .. if you don't know him then you definitely need to go back to school!

A commemorative 5 Deutsche Mark minted in 1970 for the 200th Anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven.

Like my other 5 marks, this comes with a unique imperial eagle design on the other side and weights 11.2 g of 0.625 silver

The edge is engraved with the text

ALLE MENSCHEN WERDEN BRÜDER

Speaking of Beethoven, here's a fun fact about him. He loved coffee and was so obsessed with it he would have precisely 60 beans per cup. Not more, not less as he and took the time to count each bean 😂😂😂😂☕

Sweet coin collections you got. Would you say those sorta oldie coins are treated like appreciating assets? Authentic Beethoven coins are hard to come by, and the hobbyists-enthusiasts are constantly on the look out for them.

This one pretty common, as it is was a standard circulation coin so nothing really rare about it. But it does have silver, so it's worth at least its weight in that.
