Bye bye Twitter!

Quitting Twitter is something I have been contemplating for a while, mostly because I find myself procrastinating more and more on it lately.

Other than following a few peeps that post some really niche shit that interest me, I really don't get anything out of it other than the occasional laugh. So yeah, mostly wasted time.

So, today was the day, I said fuck it and deactivated my main account. I did set a new one though solely for following that handful of said people and I will be checking it once a day. Less noise, more time to do shit.

As an experiment, I'll try to be more active on LeoThreads. Yeah, it's not as fun as Twitter but at least I can make some pennies there for posting photos, degenerate memes and crap like that. And on the bonus, I get to support an ecosystem in which I have a big bag! So win win.(Wen ads @khaleelkazi)

I was also thinking to keep track of how much I earn on Threads and convert the monthly thread earnings on something tangible, like more silver or whatever. It's not like I sell any of my crypto these days so it would be fun to treat me with something shiny.

I don't have any really high expectations with the current price of Leo, I guess anything around 30-50$ a month solely from would be super nice. We will see.

So yeah, after Facebook it's time to say bye bye to Twitter. It's been fun but I won't be returning anytime soon.

Farewell.

Well, this post came shorter then I expected so here's something cool I learnt today.

Look at this boring house:

So what's so special about it?

It's called the Ugland House and it is a building located in George Town, Cayman Islands. And it's also the home address for more then... 40 fucking thousand companies:

Located at 121 South Church Street, the building is occupied by the law firm Maples and Calder[1] and is the registered office address for 40,000 entities, including many major investment funds, international joint ventures and capital market issuers.

If you know any crypto companies located in Cayman islands.. chances are that's where their "address" is 😂

I checked a couple, and voila. Ugland House 😂

Most of them have registered post boxes for that address and they handle all their admin that comes their way. Was thinking along similar lines with crypto and still mulling all the angles over. Twitter and social media is generally a waste of time and cannot stand it as most people are so fake.

Weird, I wonder where they fit all the people that work in those 40k companies. Is there like some hidden basement or what is going on?

Oh wait...

The way mangoes see it has been very strict on Twitter for the past few years and there are many people who are leaving it and it is a good decision of those people if they come to this platform where If we are working then they will have complete freedom.

Gotta love the Caymans! Lots of "banks" are located in places like this as well. Congratulations of finally ditching Twitter, I left both Facebook and Twitter behind quite awhile back. I haven't picked up on threads yet, is it easy?

Twitter is good if u host a podcast or something like that and use to promote. But otherwise good move dumping it indeed! The new Meta “Threads” Twitter rip off is even more cringe! These fools still pushing censorship centralized trash!

Cheers friend 🍻

Twitter used to be fun back in the day when it was more like a group SMS with people just shooting the shit. But those days are long gone and it's now just a post and run place. I still have my account there but I rarely login.

I think that is a good move. Earn while microblogging on threads and I honestly don't think Twitter is really needed unless it's related to your jobs.

Must be awfully crowded working conditions to fit so many companies into a teeny office space. 😜
