I am not very familiar with the us banking sector so I have no idea how big the Republic bank and how big the impact of this will be. Does it even matter at this point? Feels like everything slowly collapsing and everyone pretending everything is ok. Meh, nothing some good ol'printing can't fix 😂
In other news, I received this little beauty in my mailbox today
I have been trying to score this fella for a while now, in my quest to catch all the pokemon silver Deutsche marks. And finally I managed to win it in a Facebook auction a couple days ago for about spot price. That's another 10 g of pure silver for the stack.
I really like the design in the back, reminds of a Phoenix rising from the fire, but instead of a Phoenix it has a weird ball or some shit 😂
Anyways, feels nice having a good stack of precious metals in these turbulent times. Last time I checked I had over 40 ounces in 0.999 bullions and a shit ton of standard circulation silver coins of varying purity. Yeah chump change for some but I guess enough to keep me floating a couple months if shit hits the fun. 😂 And thankfully I have inherited a good amount of gold so there's that too.
Meh, who knows, maybe we live in the mother of all bull markets. I guess I'll keep doing my thing, has worked fine up to now.

The chance of Republic Bank failing is significant and could trigger a bank run on other small independent banks. In my opinion, this is a deliberate move to demolish control of independent banks and centralize banking power in the big players in the market. However, there could be unintended consequences that cause more damage to the economy than what was planned.

The Fed only applied a bandaid to the banks but it didn't solve the underlying issues. So I am not surprised they are biting the dust.
