All for once Mr Vagabond finally decides to come back to his hometown. Entering into his house and having the dust welcome him. Thomas gently cleaned up a space for himself to settle down. He looked around his small room, it's been so long.. It came as a whisper. Sighing, Thomas gradually took out things from his bag and laid them on his side, looking for his meds, he checked his chest pocket that he earlier laid on a chair close to him. Reaching out for his jacket, came along a loud crash.

The old wooden chair fell flat to the ground, revealing the middle drawer of the table.
Thomas, for a moment ignored the chair and walked towards the table, taking his handkerchief off his trouser pocket, he gently cleaned the drawer handle and opened it, to be careful not to add too much pressure in order for it not to have the same fate as the chair.

After much but careful efforts, his eyes met with an old album. Picking it up and using the same handkerchief to clean its surface, he sat back on his side of the bed, opening the old looking album and flipping through its pages.

It was a little piece of just 5 different pages but was full of memories.

Thomas looked deeply into the black and white pictures, remembering the details of how he and his best friend had single handedly taken the photos themselves and made an album that each of them had a copy of. He remembered how they both had great dreams of growing up and creating a technology that could make one see the afterlife since they were both orphans and wished to look into the afterlife if they would find their parents there.
Recalling such memories brought a faint smile to Thomas’s face.
He got up, left the small house and walked a distance. Soon came to the front of his best friend's house that had been rebuilt to the modern style.

After two knocks on the door, Thomas' attention slightly shifted to the shadow of a young girl who stood behind him.

The young girl named Daryl gave a small smile when she knew she had been discovered by the old man. After a little exchange of greetings, Thomas took the advantage of asking the young lady about his best friend.
Soon was directed to go over to the busy area of the town, where he would find him.
Thinking it through, he thanked Daryl and went on his way.
At some point, he stopped and turned back in the opposite direction.
The weather is pretty cold, and would get colder as the night approaches.

Entering his home, he picked up his gray jacket off the floor, cleaned the dust off it and put it on, he checked for his wallet and immediately set out.
Arriving at the busy town, his sight swept across the portable built gamer space, it's not a tent but its structure appeared familiar.
As if the other party felt his line of sight, gently looked up, just to meet the face of a friend who has gone for only God knows how long.

Thomas didn't know what was going through him, all he knew was that his emotions can't be controlled at that moment. Philip on the other hand hadn't recovered from the shock in front of him, it felt so unreal.
Seconds quickly came by minutes, the two old men couldn't bear any longer and embraced themselves in tight hugs.

Phillip couldn't bear to wait for Thomas to speak before saying he did it, at least he tried and created a visual glasses.
He stopped and stared at his friend.

Thomas sensing his best friend's sadness, carefully pat Phillips’s shoulder and asked what's the matter?
Stuttering, Phillip tried to find the words.. .I..I was..hmm… I did make visual view glasses but… It cannot.. It.. can't view the afterlife as we planned, only zombies and animals,
I'm sorry Thomas, guilt was written all over him, with his head slightly bowed.
Seeing the seriousness of his ever so naive friend, Thomas couldn't help the laugh that burst through, without waiting for his friend, he reached for the seat and took out the visual glasses.

Phillip seems to come out from his trace, and went out to help his friend with the arrangement and soon it was ready.
Turning it on, Phillp stood by watching his best friend have his feel, with all smiles on his face and patiently waiting for him to finish and catch on old times.

I wonder how it is to watch through these glasses especially if you are old. What if one has bad eyes?
Old memories..I think photos and letters are the best.
