Blissful Memories

It wouldn't take time remembering old memories of myself while talking to my good friend @fashtioluwa 😄. We had a good long video call conversation where for a moment I was shocked that such memories of my childhood still remain in my head, I give this one to you my darling fash..lol.

Being born and brought up in an African christian home, I guess plays like acting as a “pastor’s wife” “tying a doll baby to your back with a rapper, and going to an Imagination Church” “falling under the anointing” and so on are all part of the fun for a girl child as myself. In addition, i didn't even have a sister to share all this play with, so i basically played all the kind of plays for a church girl and a mother in making, including father and mother kind of play..lol

Then again, in basic 1, as a strong christian child that i am, i had a particular classmate who was the same age as me too but was very very fat. Before I forget, they used to call me fatti back then but you couldn't compare my fat with that girl to tell you how fat she was.

We were 6 years old at that time, but the size of the girl made people believe that she was 10 years old, unlike me who still looked my age.

In school, you could call me the leader of the girls in my class, to tell you how much of a know know i was😄 so then i discovered that this my fat classmate wasn't a christian but a traditional worshipper.

Well, it wasn't her fault. She followed what she was born into just like I did too. But we were all children so basically this mentally was out of this world for us. I believed my belief was the best.

And that was how it happened o. I walked up to my classmate one fateful day and preached to her. I told her about Jesus and how she should give her life to christ.

As the head of the girls in primary 1A then, i don't receive no for an answer o, if you look for my trouble, i will look for a way to punish you by writing your name on the next noise makers list for the slightest sound you make.

But this girl told me No. She told me that she didn't want to give her life to Christ and I became angry. My other class girls were even still trying to talk to her yet this babe no gree.

Out of annoyance, I picked a fight with the girl. Yes, I picked a fight because my fat classmate refused to give her life to Christ.

Many people thought i would get beaten because on a natural ground, the girl is way bigger and fatter than i was so they were surprised about the turn of events.

When my teachers heard there was a fight, they were surprised to see me involved and then called my mom to come over. Let me tell you this funny part, after we were separated through the help of my teachers, actually through the help of the cane in my teacher hand i started crying.

I was really pained that the girl refused to give her life to Christ even after all my preaching and I couldn't express my pains other than crying.

My mom soon arrived and when she heard of the reason, she was equally surprised and burst into laughter just as my teachers did.

In the end, my fat classmate left the school after some time. But I could still see her outside since she lived within the school environment. On a good day, she attended the church I worshiped in then, I was so happy to see her. Well, that was a prove that my beaten didn't go to waste..lol

And even after her visit once to my church, I heard that she already attends her sister's church too. I however crossed part with her about some years later and saw her dancing and performing rituals done by traditionalists. by then, i already got the understanding and besides we were no longer classmates of same school how much more friends so it was basically hard to access and give her another round of beating that will help reset her brain..lol
I don't know how she's doing now or where she is, but am sure we both share this memory in common😄

There you have it guys, whenever a situation comes by with this experience for me.. I'll normally laugh at myself that I actually fought for that reason..lol unlike now that I don't even have power to kill a fly, how much more fight a full grown human being, if only my childhood pictures were within my reach it would have been a perfect combo. But since it's this way, try to imagine the scene of a fine girl like me fighting and let's laugh together 😂.
