Day 19 - Mojo

30 pictures - 30 stories divider set - Introduction.png

I got inspired by the "30 day not-so ordinary ordinary items challenge" but as I love giving things a personal twist, I decided to change the format a bit for myself so it suits me better. I've adjusted it to the 30 pictures - 30 stories challenge. But some days you will see that I also use not-so ordinary ordinary objects.

Feel free to join the challenge at any time if you like.

Publish one picture a day during 30 days and write a story about that picture. This can be anything, any object in the home, a person, scenery or a pet. I'm going to share a diversity of pictures and challenge myself to step outside of the box.

Remember this utterly cute little kitten we rescued before we had Mochi? Dear Mojo was my fren, my true fren. She stole my heart and I loved her dearly within just a few weeks. We had a good connection because she stood by me whenever my daughter would have a big mouth and made my blood pump again. Mojo always came to me to instantly comfort me when I was sad or angry and it was as if she warned me to think about my blood pressure. This was during the time that my blood pressure was rising to extremes and when I had some days being totally out of order.

What she also did was stand by me the whole day the few days that I could not leave the bed because of the high blood pressure. I had extreme headaches and was scared all day. She did not think twice and rested her warm body against me. She never slept on the bed the other days, only those that I was super scared of needing medical help.

Every morning she walked towards the bedroom as soon as we woke up to greet us, meowing and giving cuddles. Of course she wanted food too, but it all belonged to our new routine. We used to have intense cuddling sessions as soon as the kid was at school and I sat on the couch. She'd run to me and started demanding some cuddles and love, purring loudly to let me know she enjoyed it. She could not get enough of it and I often stayed with her for at least half an hour as I enjoyed our time so much. It was a great start of the day, giving and receiving so much love from her. I still cry writing this as I miss my sweetheart so much. Actually, we all do. She is in our hearts.

Unfortunately, she escaped when in heat and you may remember me sharing the rescue mission which failed. We think she's not here anymore, I kept a close eye on Facebook to see if kittens were born and offered with a cat looking like her, without result.

Yesterday my heart jumped! For the first time I logged in to Facebook and made my usual round of new messages of animals found or rescued. And then I saw a cat with a similar pattern on the head as Mojo, I really thought I found her and I called my boyfriend to come check, all in excitement. He immediately saw the pattern was not exactly the same and my hope left again, sadly. I know I can't give up fully because there's still a chance that she shows up at some point but it doesn't help that we have not seen her around anymore. When she was near, I was not worried we'd get her back, now that she seemed vanished and that I read people are giving cats poison in this area, I think she's not with us anymore. Of course there's still hope that someone took her in and is now enjoying her love. Let's hope that's the case.. Anything better than her being dead :( my poor little chica. I miss her warmth against me, she was the cutest female cat I ever had.

Dear Mojo, please come home <3

I'm such a sucker for adorable cat photos. 😺
Mojo looks like my late grey tabby Runt.

Haha, that makes two of us!! I love all of them, sorry about losing your cat Runt :( Although not sure if she's actually not with us anymore, I still grief over Mojo every day, she became such a true friend.. Cats are in our hearts as soon as we take them in, so part of the family.. Do you have another cat now?
