Happy Caturday - Zen Cats

Saturday is Caturday

I'm trying to implement Caturday posts into my routine again on Saturdays because I have so many cool pictures of these furry creatures. They have clearly become part of the family that I often forget I have some cool pictures or stories to share about them.

Not allowed in the bedroom at night

Maybe you remember that I shared I abandoned the cats out of the bedrooms? One bedroom because of the newly arrived treadmill which we would like to keep without damage. I stand by that decision because the thing was not ok from day one and I'm pretty sure if the cats would have been allowed there for more than one night, the machine would have gotten some wear and tear from the cats playing with cables and such, and then we'd have warranty issues pointing at the cats rather then the company taking accountability for their faulty machine. The machine should be repaired according to the message I received two days ago, and hopefully returned next week, I can't wait. Costs: 0 because of the warranty. So I'm keeping the cats out of that room even after it's returned.

Not happy

Especially Maesi is not happy with my decision to abandon them from the bedrooms because she got used to meditating laying next to me very quickly and although I think it's sweet and so adorable, it also became a bit obsessive sometimes which kept me from falling asleep. So I definitely don't miss that. She can now do this only when it's evening and we sit on the couch with a soft blanket, sometimes she summons me to come and sit with her so she can do it, lol.

Computers

Although they have finally learned to stay away from everything that's my boyfriend's computer in the living room, thankfully for me, otherwise they would not be allowed there during the night, they still manage to always go bananas when they enter the smaller bedroom where my office setting is. To give them some more space soon, I'm going to move my office setting to the big bedroom after we figure out the best way to put the bed, treadmill and still be able to add a boxing pad. This way they get access to at least this bedroom during the day and be on the bed as they love so much.

They have been rebels lately

Apparently they sometimes open one door as they are fed up being locked out (shit) while until recently they were perfectly fine with the old scratching post being placed in the hallway so they were not far from us. They often sleep there during the day too so it was a good move to do so, but they've now started to tear down the house (so it sounds) at night. Not literally because they are mostly just chasing each other which makes a lot of noise so I gave my daughter and myself the task of playing more actively with them during the day, hoping they will be a bit more tired during the night.

Daughter to the rescue

Often Maesi is being very loud in the hallway, bumping on closed doors, then my daughter says "oh Maesi, come here" and she quickly enters her room to enjoy the sunlight on her bed and sleep there for hours. Soon after that, Luna wonders where Maesi went and as soon as she opens the door again, Luna quickly joins her on the bed. Luna still doesn't meow much, it's been like 6 times that we here a meow and it's the most adorable sound ever. They are like night and day in terms of meowing, Measi is very clear in telling us what she wants while Luna just loves everyone, cuddles everyone and everything and purrs very softly while doing so.

They can be such a pain but boy, we love them so much <3
