Visiting Our Farm at Mount Talabaan

Greetings everyone and happy Sunday to all of us. This day is also a family day because it is weekend, no work and it is time to spend a day together with our Families and or friends. For today's blog I've created, we decided to went back at Mount Talabaan, the place were our Farmland located. Our plan is to develop our Farm land again and planted more crops, vegetables, corns and trees. This place contains a fertile soil and it is very perfect for the plants. Mount talabaan is very far from our Barangay, and it needs to travel a few hours before we reached the place. Good thing there are motorcycles and any Public vehicles willing to take us here.

We started to take a travel this morning at exactly 4 in the morning. This is a good time to take travel because it is cold. During our travel straight to the mountain place, the street was covered with dark and only few people are walking at the street doing their simple exercises. There are no vehicles running the street besides of the motorcycles we used during the travel. It was exactly 6 In the morning when we finally arrived at Mount Talabaan. The sun already shines and the birds starting to tweet perching at the branches.

Our Farm here in Mount talabaan contains lots of tall and big trees, in fact some of the trees can be seen here are Native and hardwood just like Molave and mahogany. We don't want to cut this trees down because it brings the place cool and relaxing, aside of that it can gives a shady place because of its leaves and branches. There are lots of birds perching in this trees and also some wild animals like wild cats, bores and even snakes. There are also few bamboo plants can be seen here, and it also brings a shady place. We take a few minutes of walking adventure before we arrived at the place and it was very cold until this time. Better to wear thick jackets, hats, pants and shoes.

Even if it is already 10 o'clock in the morning, still this place contains lots of fogs. From here, we can see the neighboring mountains and some plain places in Manticao. This majestic and big mountains are located at Barangay Toud, and because of the tall mountains here in Talabaan, we can see other neighboring mountains from the distance. I already shared this place in the community but I can't avoid sharing it so that everyone can see how beautiful the place is. There only few houses built near at this mountain but even if it is far from urbanized places, still the houses supported with electricity.

Our Farm is quite far from the Barangay Road and it might be lose on the way because of the thick grass and trees. As for that, we decided to put any green stickers that helps us indicates on our way back to the main road. The last time we went here, we experienced losing of our way and we spent a few minutes of hiking adventure looking to the place were we headed. We only visit this place often that is why it can't be avoided losing its way and this must be avoided by putting any stickers or markers to the place we passes by.

As we at the farm land, I also noticed this fascinating insects crawling at the blanket, we called it walking sticks insects because of its body just like a sticks. It is camouflage and we can't even see unless it moves. The first time I seen this, I was a little bit scared but this not a harmful insects. It lives in a grassy and cool places just like under the big trees and stones.

We planned to cultivate this areas, and the first thing we must do is to removed whose dried grass and leaves. We decided to plant crops suitable for shady areas, banana plants is perfect in here. This will be a great challenge for us here and it takes many days before we complete the tasks and works. I am lucky to have this fark, even if it is quite far from our Barangay and needs to travel a few hours more importantly we can plant different kinds of crops, valuable plants like bananas and coconuts.
