Struggles in a tough economy and the enduring human spirit.

Once upon a time, when life was still good and people were still coping with the way things were, people still complained about the way things were, but now that things are going upside down, we do not understand what it is that is making everything the way it is. Back in those days when I was still very much younger, I remember going to school with a token as low as 20 naira and sometimes 50 naira, and even sometimes my parents won't give me one because they feel you have eaten from home and that one should be enough to survive you for your day in school.

My mom buys us groceries like things kids love to eat, and then we take them to school with some little food. Then, with the little money I am given, I will buy food whenever I don't take food from home and then eat to my satisfaction, and I still have a little amount to save every day. Sometimes I don't eat, and I still feel satisfied because I know the money I am saying will be enough if I want to get anything I want.

But this time, the reverse is the case. Now it's the case of management when you have to manage even the food you eat, and people no longer eat to their satisfaction. Things are really going so difficult that people find it so hard to take even a meal for a day. The situation in the country is now beyond bearable because we do not know in what direction everything is going.

But one thing I strongly believe is that many humans are so strong that we can cope with stress until it gets unbearable anymore. I just hope for a better day like the latter, and I hope it will be a better one this time because when the economy gets better, everyone will be happy to do whatever they want to do, and the money they get from any work they do will be more valuable.
