Will we spring Hive into life or has apathy taken root!

Hello Hello Silver Bloggers and bees of the hive

If you celebrate Easter I hope you had a good one, likewise if you are observing Ramadan and Passover.

It seems there is always something going on in this wonderful Universe of ours.

image.png

That was what the Universe greeted me with on Thursday morning around 6am.

Talk about gorgeous, this is the view from our back garden.

image.png

I do love pictures where the houses seem to be silhouettes and all black!

image.png

The birds, as some of you may know I live close to the sea, probably no more than half a mile, I know I can touch the water in eight minutes if I walk without stopping to take pictures!

image.png

I will put some pictures that The Universe showed me, but am thinking that is probably my favourite.

You can tell Spring is in the air, all the animals are cavorting around!

image.png

As if to prove my point that was a couple of Magpies I saw at Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy a couple of hours later when I went for a walk.

But my post title, you know I think I spent more time wondering how the fluff I could title what I really want to put into writing today.

Will we spring Hive into life or has apathy taken root!

We have had #hiveblopomo going on this month, and I will be honest I did not post every day. I find it hard to do that without the #shitpost coming to the fore.

Aside from that, I have been involved in some initiatives with the aim of getting more engagement to communities.

One community in particular is this one Silver Bloggers.

We had a great Hive initiative which is the Weekly Author initiative, whereby a poll is created with four posts.

These four posts are chosen from posts that have been submitted to the Silver Bloggers community.

image.png

It was getting lighter now, you can also see where I zoomed in the center of the picture for my silhouette shots!

Back to the weekly author initiative... if you want to read about it then feel free to have a wee gander here 👉👉 Hive: Author of the Week initiative 👈👈

As part of the Weekly Top Authors Initiative a new Hive account has been set up @weeklytops and their post Hive: Author of the Week initiative explains the whole process in greater detail.

In short, @blocktrades @ocd @thecallmedan @leovoter will all upvote the announcement post and 60% beneficiary will be set to the winner and 20% will be spent on marketing on twitter to increase the amount of people coming to Hive.

The poll is open until midnight PST on Sunday. After that the winners of all communities who take part in this initiative will be announced by @weeklytops in a weekly digest.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

All these things are great, but if you don't get involved then what the fluff is the point.

If you goto threads you will see lots of these weekly author posts for different communities. I am sure you are in some of those communities. So go get voting at the weekend.

We need engagement. People go on about getting more users to hive...

Why would they stay though if there is no engagement...

Even discord seems to have gone quiet in so many servers.

Is it just me, or do you find that as well?

image.png

We have initiated a collaboration with the wonderful @dreemport for the next three weeks.

I am hoping that this will spring some of our Silver Bloggers and some Hivians into action!

What do you think?

The collaboration?

Here you go ....

Dreemers - MEET SILVER BLOGGERS! as explained by @dreemport

and

Silver Prompt and Dreemport Collab in April from our wonderful mod Super Eli @coquicoin

image.png

So let's spring into Spring and get Hive rocking again!

By the way @silverlions.leo is the Silver Bloggers LeoThreads curation account, come and thread and use #silverbloggers and we will curate you as long as it is a suitable thread!

What are you waiting for?

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!

Beautiful shots! We had some fairly colorful skies ourselves this morning. It was a quite beautiful weekend. Friday and Sunday were our two best days by far. I did some work in the yard. I had to run to the landscape store and bought a cubic yard of topsoil. Unloading that from my truck pretty much wore me out!

A cubic yard of soil would wear me out too if I unloaded it, one shovel at a time!
This time of year we can get some gorgeous skies in the morning, then in a couple of months it switches to night time.

Yeah, it was a lot of shoveling. It doesn't help that it was so wet too. That made it even heavier!

Gorgeous pictures! I love the sky at the start and the end of the day.

I haven't found it easy taking part in top authors. I just about found my way to the silver bloggers poll and voted, but I wouldn't have a clue about how to find other polls. I've not been able to get keychain to work on my iPad, so running to multiple sites has to wait until I'm on my desktop. Sometimes technology is the barrier to engagement.

There's often a lull in participation during the holidays - mid-winter, summer and spring - it's part of the natural rhythm. The good news is that people have lives and are getting on with them. Discord has its uses, but not everyone can get there, and it can be a dreadful time suck. It's helpful for sorting out problems or organising things, there have been some good initiatives like online, real time yoga classes.

Running a community is a big commitment, on or off line. It usually takes about two years of dedicated work to get a thriving community. It doesn't seem to matter if that is one hour a week or twenty: the important thing is consistency over the two years. Keep turning up, providing something that people want or need, being friendly, making it a positive experience, and keeping your own expectations realistic. That way you can ride the lulls and downtimes and not put too much energy into them.

Hive is still in early adoption stage. Everything is working as it should. The only thing we need to do is enjoy ourselves and make friends.

Yes the sky and nature is terrific to us.

The weekly polls well you can hit the ta, search function and they should come up, so basically when hoosie creates one for saturday savers he will use the tag (and of course I am not sure which it is without looking it up so wont say incase I get the wrong one🤣)

Communities take time you are so correct, ones on Hive are no different.

The lulls well to me they have been all year, but once crypto goes up, I am sure people will be back!

Beautiful pictures and I thought it was just because I was inactive that Hive seemed quiet but apparently, it is not just me. Well, I look forward to the collab with SB and DP.

Love the colors, Tito Ed!

The collab is great and so as the Author of the Week. As for the quieter days, might be because of the holidays or perhaps some have gone into hibernation, lol! I'm still challenged with my network so I'm lagging behind. All the best to you and everything that you do.😉

Salamat CJ, the colours that Nature produces are just awesome!

Hibernation yeah I think so, it has been like this for ages certainly all year in my opinion!
