Hello Hello people and Happy Boxing Day

I remember Boxing Day being the chill day compared to the manic madness that was Christmas Day. Stories were told by the adults and much fun and hilarity was had.

So here to spread some cheer on this Boxing Day is the story of Angus MacAffmaheid and his Scottish Christmas Party!

As a by the by I have been playing around with Our new stable diffusion discord bot from @ausbitbank and asked arty to generate and image based on my prompt for the story of Angus. The image below is the result.

Angus MacAffmaheid's Scottish Christmas Party

It was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except for Angus MacDougall in the kitchen. Angus was a jolly old Scottish man with a thick beard and a hearty laugh. He lived in a small cottage on the outskirts of Oban, and every year he made it his mission to spread holiday cheer to all his friends and neighbours.

This year Angus had decided that what with all the nonsense going in the world, that he would make an extra special effort in his mission to spread holiday cheer!

Angus had decided to throw a Christmas party at his small cottage on the outskirts of Oban.

He had invited all of his friends and family, he had invited all of his neighbours, and he had even put up a sign on the town bulletin board to let anyone else who was feeling lonely on Christmas Eve to come to the party and join in on the fun. He had also asked his niece Kirsty to put it on that InterWebby thing as Angus did not know how to switch it let alone how to use it.

As the partygoers arrived, they were greeted by the smell of roasting haggis and the din sound of Angus's bagpipes. Angus firmly believed that each partygoer had to be piped over the threshold of his small cottage!

The cottage had been decked out in Christmas decorations by volunteers from the local WI, and there was a giant tree in the corner, which was adorned with twinkling lights and lots and lots of tinsel. The charming rascal Angus had even dangled mistletoe from the ceiling rafters, after all what could be more romantic than a Scottish kiss.

As the night went on, the partygoers enjoyed a feast of traditional Scottish fare, including Cullen skink, haggis neeps and tatties and topped off with some Atholl Brose pudding.

They also sang carols and played games, such as "Pin the Nose on Harry Haggis" and "Pass the Parcel."

But the highlight of the evening was when Angus brought out his special Christmas surprise: a giant, handmade gingerbread house. It was decorated with icing and covered in all manners of sweets.

Angus had even built a wee door so that the kids could go inside and play.

As the partygoers gathered around the gingerbread house, Angus's niece, Kirsty, noticed something strange.

"Uncle Angus, where's the roof?" she asked, pointing to the top of the house.

Angus chuckled. "Och, I must have forgotten to put it on before I baked it."

"I guess that is why I am called Aff ma heid ~ because I am so forgetful"

"No problem Kirsty, we just need to use out imagination and imagine that the roof is there!"

And with that, Angus led the partygoers in a rousing rendition of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," complete with hand-clapping and foot-stomping. As they sang, they imagined the roof of the gingerbread house being covered in snow, and everyone was filled with the holiday spirit.

As the party came to a close, Angus thanked everyone for coming and wished them all a very Merry Christmas. As the guests left one by one, they all had big smiles on their faces, already looking forward to next year's Scottish Christmas party.
