Spring time walk but mind the eggs!

Hello Hello Hivians.

I often make a post for #WednesdayWalk and today is no different.

However, since April arrived (on Monday) it has rained and rained and rained so no walk with pictures for me today, this then is the weekend.

Funnily enough I am listening to the radio and they are talking about the wettest 18 months since records began but they are saying there is going to be a water shortage because of how they have let the water infrastructure fall into repair.

Walk fast for food! (2).png

Yet the water companies made billions in profit for their greedy shareholders.

Okay rant over!

Let's go.

image.png

We had a glorious Easter as you can see, the sun was out and even had blue skies!

This is my local football ground and it looks like they have blown automatic promotion to the Scottish Premier League.

image.png

I did have a well wisher, Rake the raven tends to hang around the bridge here, there is a stream running underneath that goes to the beach.

A burn we call a stream so this is Teal burn!

image.png

I was standing on the bridge whilst Rake the raven was on the wall to the right!

If you keep following up to the top of the picture about 300 yards you will be on the beach!

image.png

We walk past a path which has these flowers on, they are gorgeous and the blue reminds me of bluebells, however they are different...

Do you know the name?

image.png

They are Muscari and often called grape hyacinth.

image.png

The weather was still holding, the sky was blue, it might be Spring now but the trees have not got their leafy clothes on.

image.png

Dropped off Mrs T and I had a couple of hours to kill so was time for a cheeky wee coffee while I planned what to do.

image.png

I fancied a wee dod of sugar so poured in a packet of brown sugar. It is very very rare that I have sugarm but I just fancied some.

Do you have sugar in your coffee?

image.png

So I did pop to the shop and this is what I saw when I came out ...

image.png

Can you see what is on the steps.

Let's go closer as I am going that way anyway!

image.png

Yep, some pour soul dropped their carton of eggs, that is 15 eggs gone.

What is it they say...

Don't put all your eggs in one basket!

image.png

image.png

No I was not catching a train, but we have to go under the train tracks toget back to where we want to go.

We shall have a look at something...

The floating flower basket

image.png

Is it just me or does the basket of dwarf daffodils seem to be floating?

image.png

There is something about nature, trees and flowers that makes me just want to take pictures! What about with you?

image.png

If you are a visitor of my walking posts then you might recognise where we are from my post of February 28th 2024 The STUMPERY Kirkcaldy Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I tell you what though, if we compare this picture from that post ....

image.png

to one now ...

image.png

Yeah we are in Spring now, just look at all the daffs that are out and about.

Well we may as well do our wee bit of homage to Hive Garden now..

I do live daffodils and yellow does remind me of both Easter and Spring.

image.png

image.png

image.png

image.png

The Greener Kirkcaldy signs are quite cool, I do like their logo.

image.png

image.png

The Stumpery in it's finest and you can see why it spring and summer it really all belnds together.

image.png

image.png

image.png

image.png

image.png

I just hope the weather turns and we can get out for some further afield nature walks!

This post is also my first April 2024 walk for #wednesdaywalk which was started by the wonderful @tattoodjay.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!

Since it's raining so much, my guess is that its spring time.

The flowers are thriving and looking beautiful already and yeah I agree don't put all your eggs in one basket 😂😂

Such a waste of eggs... Isn't it expensive in your place? Hehe..
Didn't rain much here recently, but the sky is always greyish...

A nice walk overall but still feeling sorry for the poor souls who dropped their eggs. It might be some children and now their mum scolding them. Eeff

Yeah I feel sorry for the person, and you know it could well have been children as this was stairs going to a road. Most adults come by car and park in the car park. Let's hope whoever it was did not get scolded!

I love the teal burn stream photo, it looks beautiful and clear.
And the flowers too, the photos are lovely.

It feels so bad to see the fallen eggs, they are such a waste and they are expensive.

Your Wednesday walk made me smile 😊

Do enjoy your day dear.

I don't think you really want to swap. hehehe. But I hope nature would balance things... a little rain and a little sun wouldn't hurt. But we are on the opposite extremes of the weather as it is.

How are you dear friend @tengolotodo good morning
What beautiful places you have chosen for this walk, I was surprised to see this beautiful plant with blue flowers, I must say that I never knew grape hyacinths existed. In Argentina we are people who love sweet things, sugar cannot be missing in our infusions, in my case, I no longer consume sugar, it is counterproductive for my diabetes
Now I understand the popular saying that you don't have to put all your eggs in one basket.
Thank you very much dear friend for sharing such beautiful places there.
have a beautiful wednesday

Ah yes I read on your post today about the walks being good for diabetes. You take care with it, my mother was a type 1 diabetic and I grew up with her giving herself injections and having vials of insulin stored in the fridge!

Yes, with this disease you have to be careful

Luckily I caught the disease in time, my diabetes is type 2. I maintain myself with walks, diet and meformin medication, now my levels are almost normal between 100 and 130.

Thank you very much dear friend, have a splendid night

I would have gotten the flowers totally wrong. I was going to say lupines or lysynthanthus or how ever it is spelled. You know what they say about April showers though...

Yeah I never remember the name so had to google 🤣

Mrs T said the same about April showers, I just said this is constant rain not showers!

Yes the flowers are wakening up for the year and becoming alive, the poor soul with the eggs, I wonder if they went back and got more!

That Stumpery looks much nicer in the spring time! The grape hyacynths are really pretty, I don't think I've seen any around here.

Looks like it was a great day except for the poor soul who lost their eggs!

Nice walk, hopefully we will all get some nice weather soon, we had snow last night preceded by 4 days of rain...YUCH. Fingers crossed for some sun today but I wouldn't bet a dime on that one, it's gloomy as ever, with not a single piece of blue sky.

Oh well, I guess I'll clean the house... YUCK! Not one of my favs, but I'll make the best of it.

Spoon full of sugar, good with coffee every morning, must be brown! Flowers putting on a brilliant show for you.

Water woes, a problem here too along with electricity and internet, so keep smiling or place a pipe from the burn to the home if the distance isn't too great.
