The unlikely haggler used his Saturday Savings wisely!

Hello Hello Lions and Saturday Savers

What is that saying, the morning after the night before or something along those lines!

Two weeks ago Mrs T had a mishap with her glasses and as luck would have it her eye exam was due and we sauntered off to SpecSavers.

This week was an Amazon Prime sale so Mrs T had been eyeing up a few things and so those hard grafted savings were in danger anyway!

I left Mrs T to choose her glasses and all that jazz, my legs had been killing me so I went off to the bookies for a seat and a play on Hive in my phone.

She wanted thin lenses, super light metal frames that could twist etc etc.

After a while I wandered back to see she was sitting down with some snazzy looking glasses in front of her.

Do you see those prices of the lenses, the optician had recommended she have the Super Digital varifocals whatever they were.

The cost for two pairs of glasses was £498 and that was with a 2 for 1 deal, I guess my face was none too plussed, especially when the guy said it was full payment up front.

Time to go I said, we shall be back next week perhaps.

Next week was yesterday.

So we went back. Those sore legs of that day turned into a few hospital visits this week to do some trials and act as a guinea pig to see if it is yet another recognised side effect of my Ankylosing Spondylitis. Oh the joys of being a text book case of an arthritis!

So we went inside and eventually the little guy we saw before came to serve Mrs T.

He got out his notes from a plastic bag.

"Ah it seems I overquoted you.I was going over the quote with my boss and it is actually £100 cheaper."

He went away to get the card machine, and Mrs T turns to me...

"See I told you that you were a grump last week, and they thought they lost the sale!"

My being a grump is a sign of me being in pain apparently.

It is when the man of few words turns in the man of monosyllabic words.

It seems I had haggled them down £100 without even realising it!

@shanibeer and @dswigle would be proud of me said I!

As I had saved a hundred quid and as a reward for me bing poked and prodded multiple times over the last week we went for a pint and a bite to eat!

However, life goes on and this is my Savers post.

Tomorrow is #lpud the 15th of October, how time is flying, it will be 2024 in the blink of an eye and time to re-evaluate my goals!

So let's flex some of my results from week 41

The Table for Week 41

Let's get down and dirty and review these figures!

Primary Goals

☑️ I added 68 HP for the week . This seems to be around my average weekly amount! Realistically my goal is 7k as I am back to about 2 posts a week!

☑️ I added 0 LP for the week, I am waiting for some $LEO to be powered up for #lpud and any extra I will power up when I get it.

My SAVINGS

☑️ Well they came in handy! Now it is back to square 1 and start saving for the end of 2024! We shall see how much Hive and HBD I can save!! 577 is the target to beat!

Secondary Goals

My Layer 2 were pretty static! But I did get some more INK, HIQS and SIM...

Leo Power Up Month October 2023

Tomorrow or maybe today by the time you read this it is Sunday the 15th of October and that means it is the tenth LPUD of 2023, there are only two more after this one!

Are you going to Power UP?

I know I will be, so Happy #LPUD!

My rating, I give myself a 9/10

I saved! ~ Mrs T spent!!!!!

But that was a £500 expenditure totally paid for by saving on the HIVE blockchain...

I mean how fluffing cool is that!
