Sublime Beautiful Sunday - Sleepy Mode Day

Hello everyone 👧

This post is inspired by @cOff33a (host of the #sublimesunday tag), and @ace108 (host of #beautufulsunday tag).

The second phase of my work war ended at midnight Sunday, 12.00am, the final time and date to submit my clients' tax returns on time. For more than 2 weeks, I had to sleep in my workplace or lack of sleep due to rushing work to meet my so-called last minute clients' works especially this week which I sleep in my workplace without going back home for 4 days straight. Next Monday, I will start the final phase of my war in work until August. Before that, I just want a long and peaceful sleep on my bed before entering the next war.

Can't Skip Chores

I don't feel like doing anything and wish to lay in bed all day long. However, thinking of my dog, Uku Chan, who hasn't been bathed for 2 weeks, I have to force myself to leave my bed to bath Uku Chan. At home, I'm the only one responsible for bathing Uku Chan.

My smelly piles of cloth had not been washed for over a week as well. I still have extra clothes to wear. I plan to continue my sleep after I have finished bathing Uku Chan. But, I failed to do so, as my Sister and Mum thought I wanted to join them outside to do laundry with them. Since I woke up late, we went to the self-service laundry to wash our clothes before half an hour of evening time.

Unexpected Outing

I thought after finishing our laundry, we would direct when back home. I'm in shock to hear my Mum and Sister are planning to go to another place for shopping without me knowing it. It's already night after 7.30pm. My first reaction was to oppose it, as I was still sleepy at the time. My Sister argued with me saying she had waited for me for many months (during me busy with war) for buying the things that must have me join in. As a result, I followed them for the next outing trip.

If I got the energy, I will definitely take my time to visit the shop inside the mall that I'm interested in. At that time, I wasn't in a good mood. I taking the lead don't let the ladies wander into other shops and walked straight to the shop that my Sister wanted to purchase something from.

It's the lingerie shop we visited to. There is always a promotion for bulk purchases at this shop. For instance, purchase 1 bra costs RM28 each, but when purchasing 4 bras we will get discount for RM12 by paying RM100 only with the condition of same brand. It would be a great idea for me to join my Sister in buying these lingerie's together so we can get the special discounts. I'm not a fashionable person, so my Mum helped me select the lingerie. I just looked at her and nodded when she showed me the lingerie she picked. It's also ended up buying more lingerie (that I do not need to buy now) from my Mum (who love shopping) for me.

Impossible Cashless

In one hour, most shops in the mall will close. My Sister tells me that she and my Mum had their last meal at 10.00 am in the morning. Since my Sister is already feeling hungry, she is worried that my shopping loving Mum will complain later about having stomach gastric problems after being distracted from shopping at the mall for so long.

My Mum will hear my opinion more than my Sister. So, I asked if there was anything we needed to buy before we have dinner. My Mum wants bread. Then, I leads them to the nearest bakery shop in the mall.

By referring to the above picture, the cost of these pastries is able to let us buy 2 plates of fried rice in my hometown. I love pastries, but I have to refrain from buying them all the time since it is not affordable for me now.

On the glass door before entering this shop, it said we could pay cashless or E-wallet. This bakery shop has poor internet reception, so any payment that requires internet is useless. Luckily we have enough paper cash in our wallets to pay for our purchased pastries. Nowadays, we are more dependent on cashless payments, which means that we hold less cash. In this case, due to the lousy internet in my hometown, the motto of my country to implement 100% cashless payments is impossible in the near future.

Late Dinner

I have to force my Mum to eat at any nearby restaurant after we leave the pastry shop. She wishes to buy another thing after seeing the thing that she is interested in in another shop. My Sister already made a grumpy face for being hungry and me kind of sluggish to go to the next shop for shopping. It's considered late dinner for us to eat our meal after 8.30am.

Even the meal on the table, the Bakuteh dishes, is entirely my decision. I just convinced my Mum who doesn't like rice for late dinner to eat this meal. I said to her just pour the broth into the rice and it will be like eating porridge.

Shopping Never End

My Sister still has something to buy, her favorite brand of coffee beans. But, the supermarket in the mall is about to close. She blames me for not going out earlier otherwise she can do everything in this mall. Rather than debate with her, I just let her drive to another location to buy her stuff.

Just less than two months ago, a 24 hour supermarket opened in my hometown. Although it is already almost 10 p.m. at night, many people are still buying groceries inside this supermarket at this hour.

In the beginning, my Mum and I just waited for my Sister to purchase her stuff. It's impossible for my Mum not to buy anything in this supermarket. She keeps on telling me that the fruits in front of me are my Dad's favorite. Just buy it, I replied. After getting my approval, she happily picked out the items she wanted for home.

The intention of buying 2 packs of coffee beans for a short period of shopping ended up with full baskets with over 30 minutes of shopping. In addition, I'm the one who pays all the grocery with over RM200 of spending. My sleepy mood suddenly awakened when I paid for the grocery at the cash counter 😦.

Afterward, we reached home and finally I was able to rest on my lovely bed.

That's all. Thanks for reading my post 😄.
