Today I am going to talk about my Holozing adventure which started about 3months ago. When I go back and look at my history with the $ZING token, I figured out, I got staked my first tokens on 22 October 2023 as you can see in the following picture:

These tokens were the rewards for delegating some Hive Power to the Holozing project. As I didn't have that much Hive Power available, I didn't receive that many tokens, but still, every little bit helps!

My initial plan was to delegate Hive Power for one week and than cancel it. As I expected the ROI would fall sharply rather fast. As I expected the price of the $ZING token to go down as well, I wanted to sell all my tokens. I know this will maybe sound a bit controversial in this community but the (little) experience I have, already learned me that most tokens go downwards after their launch. Especially if their usecase is still limited at start. I sticked to my plans, stopped delegating after one week and unstaked all my received rewards. So far my engagement with the Holozing project.

Ofcourse, it's always a great idea to evaluate your thinking so you're able to improve yourself. Was my plan good or not? Well, I guess it's always easy to talk in hindsight but I have to admit things didn't go as I expected. The ROI for delegation did indeed go down, but way slower as I expected. Conclusion: I should have held my delegation as I did initially. Not cancelling it after 1 week, but even up to today, the apr for delegation is still 30%. So it would have been better if my delegation of HP was still in place.

Selling of the token was a good decision in my opinion though, as it went indeed downwards. Although it held up its price better than I thought it would, swapping it to Hive was still the better option for me. But here again, it surprises me how good it's helding its price although there isn't a real usecase yet for the token besides staking it or providing liquidity for the Liquidity Pools.

Probably you're wondering why I am still not delegating Hive Power as I mentioned the ROI is still about 30%, which is far better than curating myself. Well, at the moment of writing, my upvote is worth about $0,020. This means I am hovering around the dust treshhold. If I get it right, it's important if you upvote articles / comments that the total payout of the article / comment reaches the $0,02 threshhold. Otherwise the author won't receive any reward and I as a curator won't receive curation rewards. I guess you already know that most articles easily reach this milestone. But for comments on the other hand, it's usually the other way around. Nearly all comments don't reach this threshhold. As I like to engage with others and for me part of engaging is rewarding their comments as they engage with me, I like to upvote them. Thus my upvote should be worth atleast $0,02

Ofcourse this is just a personal choise and everyone has to make his own decisions. Probably in terms of ROI, it would be better to delegate and rake in the rewards. But I think Hive is all about the social aspect and the engagement, so I want to maintain my $0.02 upvote. I have already thought about the (near) future, as I keep growing my Hive Power. I didn't power down anything since August, my 'reborn' on Hive. The moment I have 500 'spare' HP, I'll probably use these to delegate once again to grow some $ZING.

A disclaimer I have to make is that Holozing is way more than just delegating Hive Power. I am definitely keeping an eye on the developments and what is going on in the community. As I really like the concept of the game which is being developed, I don't want to miss anything. I think the community is doing a great job as well. For being such a new project, there are already over 1000 subscribers to the Holozing community. This is definitely a sign that a decent amount of Hivians is supporting this project.

To conclude, I would like to thank everyone in this community and the staff behind this project in particular. The way they are tackling the difficulties of building a project out of nowhere is immense. So definitely keep up the good work!
