It's about the footprints you leave...

People make people the way they are and that is the reason why no matter what anyone does in these recent days, I find it hard to even criticise him or her...
That notwithstanding, it's not a nice thing that others made you to stop doing the good you wish to do regardless of whatever bad they must have paid you back with because it always pays to be good!!

Personally I have been on the receiving end and I have also been on the giving end too and believe me, it's always satisfying to do good especially to someone who values it.

My Experience

I've told the story about how I lost my phone before sometimes last year but, there was a catch to that story...

After losing my phone and SIM card, I didn't know where to start from and I already registered my jamb (so I was expecting my jamb score) and everything with that particular SIM card, I needed to welcome back the SIM but then, the SIM wasn't initially registered by me but my dad.

My dad was away and he wasn't going to come back anytime soon and then his presence was needed to register the SIM, I knew it wasn't possible without the initial person that registered the SIM but I was in a dead end and decided to go explain my ordeal to the MTN workers at their office.

Soon enough it was my turn and I met the staff, Uche (lol, I can't seem to forget his name even though we never crossed path again since that day), I explained everything to him and he told me it's not possible since I wasn't the one that did the initial registration.

He then asked me how exactly I lost the SIM card and after explaining the incident that I was robbed, he took pity on me and he not only did the welcome back for me but also gave me #500.00 airtime.

Wow... I was amazed not just because he helped me but because he went out of his way to help a stranger without expecting anything in return.

Since what lead to the sad incident of me losing my phone and everything I had was because I was trying to direct a stranger who seems to have lost his way, I already decided never ever to talk to a stranger even if you were dying... I had a very solid resolution on that but then, encountering this guy made me think otherwise and came to the conclusion that I will keep doing good to the best of my ability regardless of whatever reward, good or bad it presented itself with because on the long run, it's always worth it.

Sometimes it's not even about the good we do that matters but it's about the everlasting positive footprints we left on the persons we did the good to...
This makes it easier for that person to do good for another (even though it's not always the case) and by so doing, the chain keeps growing longer.

Do Good!
Keep doing Good!!

Thanks for reading and have a nice day

That's exactly why doing good matters. If the evil that men do lives after them, think about the good that lives on after a doer of good deeds.

Sometimes while trying to be kind and do good deeds, we might be stabbed in the back, ridiculed, hurt and more but if we choose to close our eyes due to the pain, we will miss several other opportunities to do good that will live a lasting print.

Do good because doing good does good.

The last statement says it all...
Without expecting anything in reward, doing good still brings good.

May people never change us so bad that we turn blind eyes to persons we should help

One good act of kindness can cause ripples of same act in diverse ways. If we all, based on previous unfortunate occurrence choose to not be kind to someone else, what then would life be like??

It's indeed the ripple effect that makes it worth doing... When you see someone you helped helping others, it makes you love helping.

People do things for a reason imagine helping someone and in the process losing your belongings that feeling is crazy, I know how losing a phone could cause someone it makes you feel strange and feel like you aren't yourself but then someone assisted you when you were in need and that led to you changing that perspective of not helping people again.

Kudos to that.

Yeah, this life is just so unpredictable, we won't know the demons and angels cause they all come in angel form.

As they say, we shouldn’t let someone’s actions deter us from doing good. Sometimes, good helps us through people like Uche. Who would have thought things would go this way.

Never stop being kind because it will pay off one day.

The actions of a stranger show you that there are still good people in the world who believe in kindness.
