Web3? Use it! How to implement web3 in your live streams - tools and tips

As some of you might know I am streaming at least twice per week on my Twitch Channel. I have been streaming on and off in the past 2 years and during that time I implemented more and more of web3 to enhance the quality of my streams.

In this post I will talk about tools you as a streamer can use by implementing the power of web3 with the help of the HIVE blockchain. And I will also show some good ways to increase your viewers and followers on your twitch channel but also on your on chain profile!

Types of web3 implementations for your stream

There are multiple ways to implement web3 in your stream. Many streamers do giveaways and nothing is easier than to send out prizes to your viewers on HIVE! You can send $HIVE, $HBD on layer one and many other tokens on layer 2.

Since the HIVE gameverse has an abundance of game projects and they all have their various gaming tokens and NFTs as well you can easily keep your audience excited with some cool stuff.

Have you ever won a Splinterlands NFT card on stream? Or the in game currency $DEC?
Giveaways are a good tool to capture your audience and they also give you the joy of giving to others.

This is a really easy way of implementing web3 in your streams. Anounce your stream in a blog post. Talk about what your plans are for that particular stream, reach out to the audience on HIVE and tap into many gaming interested communities.

Do not forget to share that invitation on other social media outlets like Facebook and X. Promote your channel with a stream.

Unfortunately the Twitch embed needs a little adjustment for each frontend.

Not only can your threadcast earn some extra, but you also can interact with your audience in a totally different way! I have been rewarding everyone participating in the threadcast. This way viewers don't really need the chat function of twitch anymore. They can talk to you on the threadcast and each threadhas the potential to earn $LEO and $HBD and staked $HIVE

post a summary of your stream

After you are done streaming you can again hack on that keyboard and write up a good summary on what happened in your stream. Drop some cool highlight clips and a link to your stream tell your audience how amazing they are and thank them for being with you.

Obviously if you are giving away prizes using the HIVE blockchain, recipients should also have a HIVE account! Give them a way to sign up. Make a button for your viewers in your Twitch panels.

Tools to increase viewer count

These things will take us out of the hive metaverse and we will dive into Cashrain and ownedcore in this section. These are tools to promote your stream to a wider audience and you can end up bringing many new people to HIVE as well.

However these tools require some investment from your side. Do not worry you can start easily with only a few bucks and the outcome is pretty nice. You will gain a bunch of new followers and you will add a few external views to your stream.

I have bumped up my average viewer count by quite a bit using these tools.

Let us start with this one since you can easily aquire BCH on HIVE engine and use that to get started.

Create your own community on cashrain and enter all the relevant information like a link to your twitter or X and your twitch and youtube channels. There is many more social links you can add, feel free to add those as well.

If you want to get your stream in front of more viewers and get those streaming numbers up on Twitch, you should consider making an account on Ownedcore.com and link your twitch channel. You can promote your stream for 10 minutes for free and if you want to promote it for a longer time you can bid on 3 hour windows where your stream will be displayed on ownedcore.

The viewer count will go up! Promise!

For bidding on a 3 hour window you will need corecoins that can be purchased on the site with crypto or fiat options!
