Good morning buzzers! Time for a Wednesday Walk post in the Photo-essay community! I love checking off a few boxes with one post, and by posting to Liketu I get even more love! Almost as much as the Slothbuzz community give! Have you joined their discord yet? Why not? Start collecting those Slothbuzz Hive-Engine tokens today!

So, without further ado, let's see what images we've got to share today and explore some of our recent walk!

We headed out for about a 4-mile trek this morning, snapping some sights along the way. First up we grabbed some snaps of the old steam locomotive that went passing by our house! It's always cool to see these old trains chugging along. Especially when they're heading over the bridge! Look how awesome it looks with the smoke coming out of the chimney!

Heading up towards the local loch, we were goosing around waiting for the geese to move out of our way. There's an awesome variety of bird life up there, I shared a few other snaps yesterday of the other feathered friends! Then we continued onwards into the surrounding fields and farmlands. Managing to spot an awesome little wild black rabbit, not something we usually see, most of the wild rabbits around here are grey, I wonder if this one used to be someone's pet that had escaped?

When we were heading back towards home, I heard a helicopter, or what I thought was a helicopter in the distance, when it approached I realised it wasn't, it was in fact an autogyro or something. Does anyone know the actual name of such a craft? Unfortunately, the image isn't the best, but it was flying overhead and I had to use the 15x zoom on my phone!

Of course, no walk would be complete without letting the doggo run through the fields and stretch his legs! He's got far too much energy and I've been recently using a 'halty' in the hope it will slow him down a little and give my arms a break! I'm beginning to wonder whether it's him pulling or sitting here for the rest of the day that's playing havoc with my back! I guess it could just be old age catching up with me! How time flies when you're having fun! So much buzz turns you into a sloth sooner or later!

Well, I think that about covers it! Thanks for joining me on my recent walk! I did have a map of it somewhere but it won't seem to upload so we'll save that for another time! Until next time,

Sloth out!

That's so cool to have an old steam locomotove like that passive where you stay! Seems pretty imaculate too. Ducks are just way too cute! Hound looks pretty chilled too.

All the pics from your walk were dope! Thanks for sharing mate.

Love seeing those old steam engines! Really do look special when the normal trains that pass are so boring now. We don’t often get the steam engines, but they make hella noise when they pass so you can normally tell they’re coming.

Very nice. I haven't seen a steam train in person never before. Not sure if I ever seen one in Canada. But I would love to see one and travel in one. BTW, what is that picture of between the rabbit and the dog?

Love seeing the old steam trains, we have a few still running around Scotland. I actually thought it was a more well known one at first, hopefully that will pass again soon and I can get some more pics.

I’m not 100% sure what it is, an autogyro / gyro copter. A small helicopter like aircraft for a solo rider, not the best image however it was the only one I could get as it flew over head.

Some beautiful photos there ! I found a site with a bit of background on the loco - https://preservedbritishsteamlocomotives.com/45690-leander-lms-5690-br-45690/

Looks like you're lucky to see her, she'll be retiring sometime in the next few years unless someone finds a crazy amount of money to get her through the next boiler certification.

Oh wow, that’s awesome! I’ll need to dig into it a little more! I didn’t even consider having a look to see if I could find more about it! Thanks for sharing!

Cool train. We also saw one of those auto-gyros on tuesday. I've no idea what the correct name is.
