Hey @davixesk8, welcome to "Cryptoskaters"

Hello everyone.

Can you tell us a few things about you?

Well my name is David Valdiviezo I am 29 years old, I live in Venezuela in the state of Nueva Esparta / Isla de Margarita. Apart from skateboarding, I like to practice soccer, enjoy a lot with friends every moment I can and for several years I have had a hobby of making video editions on the beaches or tourist places where I live and it is a project that I have been preparing for a long time.

What's you background with skateboarding?

My experience in skateboarding has been magical, really. If I was born again I would choose skateboarding since the beginning. Skateboarding has given me many positive things like overcoming my fears when it comes to doing a new trick or jumping a wall and it's something I recognize a lot because it helps skaters to trust ourselves. I have managed to make friends all over the world and that seems great to me, the connection of skaters in the world is incredible. The values that we acquire in skateboarding are of great help in our day to day life as people. Overcoming our fears, learning to get up every time we fall, we build confidence in ourselves. I don't know if this happens to all skaters, first we start skating and then after a while all the places we see when we walk become spots hahahahaha it's something super crazy.

Well I started skating after I left high school, and what I used to do was to play soccer, so whenever I was on my way to the court there was a bunch of guys that always skated and I always spent a few minutes watching the tricks that they used to do before I get to the court, that's how I was for a while until the person who carried the ball to the field stopped going and no one else had a soccer ball so I decided to stay watching the skaters every afternoon until one day I decided to borrow a board and I got on it and I didn't fall, I had a good balance and I looked like a happy child, in fact the one who lent me the board was my mentor in all my advancement in skateboarding, he taught me 90% of everything I know. It's a pity that due to the situation in the country he decided to go to Argentina for a better future.

Favourite Skater and video part?

I have always thought that skateboarding is an art and each skater is an artist, each person has a different style, if I tell you that I have a favourite skater I would lie to you but I will tell you my top 5.
I have been following Diego Najera for many years, he is one of my favourite skaters, he truly exploits the style everywhere. I really enjoy watching Diego skate if I had to told you which one is my favorite, it would be him. So here goes the Top 5

Diego Najera.
Shane Oneill.
Miles Silva.
Paul Rodriguez.
Sewa kroetkov.

I'll mention some more like Trent Mclunt and Lewis Marnell but as I told you choosing favorite skaters is something very complicated or at least for me.
My favorite video part is one of Diego Najera for Adidas, but a video I always watched before going to skate was one of DGK call Parental Adversory, I remember a friend had it on a CD and I watched it many times until it scratched

How did you get involved with crypto and why?

I am sure that the first cryptocurrency I came across was STEEM and the Steemit platform was the one we previously used to publish our skateboarding content. At that time our community was called "STEEMSKATE".
I entered because things were very rough in Venezuela and I was willing to do anything in order to get some money and be able to help myself and a friend told me about a blockchain in which you could publish the things you liked doing the most and earned crypto. At first I said: "am I going to get paid to post the things I like? It sounds too nice to be true." Upon entering I saw that there were many communities where you could share the things you liked for example food, recipes, travels, animals, skateboarding so I dare say that since then I have not stopped working in the sense of creating content and I am happy to be here for a long time and I hope to be here for many more years.

How did you find out about Skatehive?

In a few words, I got to know crypto at the same time as SKATEHIVE, which, as I told you before it was call STEEMSKATE.

Kickflips or Heelflips?

To be honest I love both and my mentors in skateboarding gave me the pressure to achieve stability both heelflip and kickflip since I started, I mean if one day I learned bs kickflip the next day I had to give the same love to bs heelflip and thus keep the balance stable. I don't deny that sometimes it's a chaos for me to do some heelflip tricks, like sw heelflip and nollie heelflip which are a nemesis for me, but also some kickflip tricks can become be chaos you know. I think it's a matter of taste of every skateboarder because both tricks are beautiful.

In your opinion, how can Web3 change skateboarding?

In the little knowledge that I have, I think it would change skateboarding in a positive way, because various brands or projects can join web 3 and support each others as skaters and that's a positive push. Just like skaters right here in SKATEHIVE keep posting and little by little they can buy boards, shoes, clothes, etc.

Any Web 3 communities you're part of and wanna mention other than Skatehive?

No, I'm just part of the SKATEHIVE right now.

What should we expect from @davixesk8 in 2023?

Many positive things from me for the community. I have in mind to work very hard this year in content for skatehive and the HIVE community. Bringing new things around and the most important thing enjoy the process, I hope to learn many tricks and be able to share it with you, such as everything that is done along the way. I know we're just starting this year but I hope to end it at the highest level I can.

Any last words for those reading or anything you wanna mention?

To all those skaters on the web, always enjoy each skateboarding session, each trick, each fall, each new spot that you find. Document everything, make videos with love, make posts with love. Let's talk about SKATEHIVE to the other skaters around, let's make this a Religion until we reach the point of being a huge skateboarding community and being more recognized worldwide. SKATEHIVE FOREVER!
