STILL MAKING USE OF MY CHILDHOOD HABITS AND LESSONS IN ADULTHOOD

If there's one great habit have learnt from childhood and it's still part of me till now, I'll say its the act of giving. Though I learnt many things especially from my parents such as respect, humility, kindness etc but talking about the greatest of them all, I'll say it's the act of giving and I learnt this from my dad.
Permit me to share some things about my dad, he's a man that's full of humility/respect and could give out anything he has to someone in need.

Sometimes am amazed how he does this things, cus it baffles me alot, atimes my dad might not have much in him but when someone comes to him for help, he will still try to give that person from the little he has. That's one of the greatest height of love have seen, to still share what you know can't be enough for you with someone.

That's how the world should actually, we should be our brothers keeper but evil people have spoilt things for the good ones, now people now show kindness to people with caution, it's what the world has turn into. I don't blame anyone who does that, such person might be acting due to experience, probably someone has paid him or her with evil in exchange of the good he or she has done, that's life for you.

The world we live in now is so brutal that you have to be very careful when showing kindness or helping people. There are some you'll even help and they will inturn use that money you gave them against you.
Nevertheless that shouldn't stop us from doing good and helping people. We only need to be careful and prayerful so we don't fall into the hands of the wicked ones.

Before I digress too much, let me continue with the habit of giving I learnt from my parent. I learnt from my father that givers never lack, and this has been helping me in so many ways, I realized that the more I help people, the more I receive help too.

Something happened of recent, I need to do something urgent, I need money that's around eighty thousand naira (88 dollars) to fix something, and I need to raise that money in just two days, obviously there was no way I could get that amount in such a tight corner, nothing was even in my bank account at that time, but miraculously the person that would help me process the thing I needed money for called me that someone has paid for it.

Meanwhile have been thinking of how on earth I'll see eighty thousand naira, maybe I can find someone that will bborrow me or something but without much stress and no need of borrowing from anyone, my need was met.
This surprised me alot that I don't even know what I did to deserve that kind of love. So I'll say to everyone try as much as possible to help whoever you heart leads you to help, without looking at what the person will give you in return, give cheerfully.

Your father is a true hero, I am not going to lie.

Giving is a very good act. Trust me, it is true that givers never lack, it might take time but the hand of a giver is always opened.

Love it.

Generosity is a very beautiful thing. I think that regularly one must evaluate oneself to see how we are doing with that, because we really like that they are like that with us, but it is easy to neglect ourselves towards others. Greetings @sholex94

Your dad and mine are the same. I also learnt the act of humility, respect and giving from him. He always humble and respect even the young ones old enough to be his child but he never minded. His act of giving turned me into someone who loves to give cheerfully without expecting anything in return.

Givers never lack and it has helped me. When you give, you wouldn't know how God will do it from another angle. This is why it is good to give to people and the result will show up in one way or the other.
