Every day we are subject to difficult moments, moments that can even end in our death. It's heavy when we think like this, but we know that from the moment we wake up until the moment we sleep, anything can happen, whether good or bad for us. As I often say, to die you just need to be alive, right?

I'm the type of person who can say that I'm fearful about things, I've always been defensive about everything and even though I addressed this topic of fear recently, I didn't explain it in so many words. I reinforce that everyone is afraid of something, we all have a weak point in relation to something that scares us and just as one of my fears is speaking in public or having to talk directly to someone, I can say that there are countless others that accompany me in my life.

As a car driver, for example, I am very afraid that a traffic accident will happen, a situation that can happen to anyone, but, until today, God has been with me and even when I had a car accident, I did not suffer any serious damage or even my car. In terms of being close to death, I can say that I am very blessed, as I have practically never been in such a real danger of dying, as I said, fear and my way of always thinking before acting is what helps me survive and avoid places or actions that could compromise my life.

In this car accident, however, I was caught by inexperience, by the joy and euphoria of when I got my driver's license and I was in my first few months as a driver, still very stuck and full of fears about how to face everyday traffic. Unfortunately, on the day of this accident, the worst happened and on a curve, I ended up going straight and hitting the street curb, damaging the front wheel on the passenger side and driving the car onto the sidewalk. My God, what a strange feeling, how crazy that was and the disorientation I felt, as it was the first time something like this had happened.

I got out of the car shaking, still not believing that I hadn't managed to make the turn accurately and when I saw the car in front of me, I became even more desperate and afraid of losing my driver's license. At that time I was still single, I hadn't met my wife and I didn't even have any children, so it was something that only scared me and my mother. Speaking of my mother, she was the first person I called, I spoke as calmly as I could at that moment and then I called an uncle of mine who came in a truck to pick up the car, tying a rope to the front of the car.

Even with the front part damaged, he managed to pull the car, dragging it and making some noise through the streets until he got home. When I arrived, I got a good scolding from him and my mother (adults get scolded from their mothers, you know?) and well, I kept quiet, because I knew it was my mistake, that I had taken that curve too quickly and was still inexperienced in relation to driving a car. It could have been much worse, he could have had some physical problem or even died, but, thank God, he was just scared.

Finally, I can say that I learned a lot that day, that that feeling that it doesn't happen to us, that we are invincible is pure fiction of our minds, we are fragile and at any moment something bad can happen and take our lives. After this day, I learned to drive much more carefully and obviously at less speed to get to places, after all, those who are in a hurry can end up arriving at another destination.

Diariamente estamos sujeitos a passar por momentos complicados, momentos que podem até mesmo terminar em nossa morte. É pesado quando pensamos assim, mas sabemos que do momento em que acordamos até o momento em que dormiremos, tudo pode acontecer, seja o bom ou o ruim para nós. Como costumo dizer, para morrer basta estar vivo, não é mesmo?

Sou o tipo de pessoa que posso dizer que é medrosa em relação às coisas, sempre fui de ficar na defensiva de tudo e mesmo abordando esse tema de medo recentemente, não expliquei com todas as palavras isso. Reforço que todas as pessoas têm medo de algo, todos temos um ponto fraco em relação a alguma coisa que nos apavora e assim como um dos meus medos é de falar em público ou de ter que conversar diretamente com alguém, posso dizer que existem inúmeros outros que me acompanham em minha vida.

Como condutor de carro, por exemplo, tenho muito medo de que aconteça um acidente de trânsito, situação que pode acontecer com qualquer um, mas, até hoje Deus esteve comigo e mesmo quando tive um acidente de carro, não sofri nenhum dano serio e nem mesmo o meu carro. Nesse quesito de estar perto da morte, posso dizer que sou abençoado demais, pois praticamente nunca passei nenhum perigo tão real de morrer, como dito, o medo e o meu jeito de sempre pensar antes de agir é o que me ajuda a sobreviver e evitar lugares ou ações que podem comprometer a minha vida.

Neste acidente de carro, no entanto, fui pego pela inexperiência, pela alegria e euforia de quando tirei a carteira de motorista e eu estava nos meus primeiros meses de motorista, ainda bem travado e cheio de receios sobre como enfrentar o trânsito de cada dia. Infelizmente, no dia deste acidente, o pior aconteceu e em uma curva, acabei passando direto e batendo no meio fio da rua, estragando bastante a roda dianteira do lado do passageiro e subindo na calçada com o carro. Meu Deus, que sensação estranha, que loucura que foi isso e desorientação que tive, ao ser a primeira vez que acontecia algo assim.

Desci do carro tremendo, ainda sem acreditar que não tinha conseguido fazer a curva com precisão e ao ver o carro todo arrebentado na frente, fiquei ainda mais desesperado e com medo de perder a minha carteira de motorista. Nessa época ainda era solteiro, não havia conhecido a minha esposa e nem tinha meus filhos, então ali foi algo que assustou apenas a mim e a minha mãe. Falando em minha mãe, ela foi a primeira pessoa que liguei, falei com a calma que conseguia ter naquele momento e depois liguei para um tio meu que veio de caminhonete buscar o carro, amarrando uma corda na frente do carro.

Mesmo com a parte da frente estragada, ele conseguiu puxar o carro, arrastando e fazendo um certo barulho pelas ruas até chegar em casa. Quando cheguei, levei uma boa bronca dele e da minha mãe (adultos levam bronca de sua mãe sabiam?) e bem, eu fiquei calado, pois sabia que o erro era meu, que eu havia feito aquela curva com muita velocidade e ainda inexperiente em relação a dirigir um carro. Poderia ter sido muito pior, poderia ter ficado com algum problema físico ou até mesmo morrido, mas, graças a Deus, ficou apenas no susto mesmo.

Por fim, posso dizer que aprendi muito nesse dia, que aquela sensação de que não acontece conosco, que somos invencíveis é pura ficção de nossas mentes, somos frágeis e a qualquer momento algo ruim pode acontecer e ceifar a nossa vida. Depois deste dia, aprendi a dirigir com muito mais cuidado e obviamente com menos velocidade para chegar nos lugares, afinal, quem têm muita pressa pode acabar chegando em outro destino.
