Sleigh Bells - And Saints (Live on KEXP)

The leading noise-pop band on stage! From New York, a duo, in fact, incorporates a mix of pop, rock, hip-hop, and punk sounds into their music. With their fifth album 'Texis', they perform live on KEXP.
This genre, noise-pop, seems to me to be somehow the most fashionable or appropriate for today, full HQ stream when the epidemic is still raging. But some of my musical friends and acquaintances have adapted to it.

A Place To Bury Strangers - Let's See Each Other

The band has announced the release of their sixth studio album 'See Through You', due out on the 4th of July 2022. Ugh... it looks like they've only just started to compose the songs... that's more than 7 months away... a lot can happen between now and then :)
Well, this song is a bit dark mode, but otherwise, it's in their typical style. Hard, rhythmic drums and screeching guitars, right to the end.

Moussaka - Samo pesma zna

That's a power-surf band from Belgrade, Serbia. Just like the dish of the same name, the band Moussaka is a spicy mixture of classic ingredients and non-classical spices. The song name 'Samo pesma zna' in English means 'Only song knows'. Their surfing on guitars and instrumental explosions under the influence of the original guitar school of the 50s will not leave anyone indifferent. Really a delight to the ears, even the animated video is great ... like all nostalgic songs about times that are no more.

Wilhelmina Agnes - Taste Of Tears

And that's something!
Wilhelmina Agnes, real name Ines Turšić from Zagreb, Croatia, is an unusual phenomenon on the music scene. She is only 14 years old (although she looks older to me in the video ...), and she is already doing her original music at a high level. This is her first single "Taste Of Tears". This versatile teenage girl from Zagreb writes, composes, and arranges her own music, and sings and plays guitar, piano, and violin. Of the musical role models, he highlights performers such as Kiss, T-Rex, and David Bowie. It will be nice to watch her way to the top.

Banshee - THEY WILL ALWAYS HAUNT ME

In Irish mythology, mysterious fairies called banshees were said to have appeared in the past to warn of death by singing and screaming. As in the myth of the same name, the intense screams of today's Banshee are a reminder of abuses in the twenty-first century - abuses of women's bodies, mental health, or the environment for the needs of capital. The Banshee is angry and her screams echo in the TikTok app. Modern Banshee is an enigmatic young producer, songwriter, and singer living in Los Angeles. Her musical output under the pseudonym Banshee dates back to 2018 with the release of the single 'Fuck With a Witch'.
She mixes the growl, vocal technique of metal, with hyper pop, SoundCloud trap, and the electronic and autotunes aesthetic that underpins this new wave of internet music. Interesting and worth following.

Sladica feat. Karin Zemljič - Waiting for the World

This is one recording from Slovenian National TV. I can't help but be pleased, top production, top musicians, top performance.
Sladica (or the Dessert in English), is an occasional band of Slovenian musicians who have been active in the music scene for over twenty years and it shows. I come from that cultural milieu too, let's say more from the periphery where we still say that rock'n'roll is blood and sweat, but still. Good music is the only thing that counts.

Ministry - Search And Destroy

Ministry, the masters of the industrial metal genre, release the cover of The Stooges 'Search And Destroy'. I listened to this band about 15 years ago, then over the years, I didn't follow them anymore. This single and video are from the new album 'Moral Hygiene'.
Good rhythm, echoing guitar riffs, smells of pop music. Which of course is not a bad thing.

Avril Lavigne - Bite Me

It's her new single, released last week. I mean, it's pop music if you ask me, but Avril is really cute. It's like she'll never get old. She still looks great after 20 years of her first single. And the music is the same. That's fascinating. Nothing changes.
Sometimes this is a good sign. Alongside hundreds of new genres and sounds, pop songs in classic styles are climbing the charts.
Cool.
