The Troubling Tale of the 'Innocent Stealer'

Hello everyone, it's another beautiful day to participate in the weekly contest on this platform. This is week 75, edition 03 of our weekly featured content. We are currently in our third topic for the week, which is "Crime rate". The rate of theft in my area has risen so high that people now fear if their lives won't be stolen to one day. In my school, there's a guy called the "innocent stealer", no one knows who this guy is. The way he operates is unique in a very bad way. Let me try to give you an illustration on how he does his operations.

He goes to any hostel he wants to, tear the protective net of their windows and finds a way to remove any phones he sees in the room and he basically steals iPhones or any android phones with huge values. After doing that, he'd find a way to reach out to someone that knows the person he stole from and negotiate with the person on how to get his or her phone back by paying with Bitcoin(crypto currency in particular). He chats people with telegram and takes money into his Bitcoin wallet.

Once the negotiations has been made and payment has been done, he'd describe where and how to get the phone back and funny enough, most times, he keeps the stolen phone around the places he took it from, maybe inside the hole of a brick, a refuse bin or anywhere around.

All efforts made to track him down has been proven abortive as no one knows his name or how he looks like. He's so smart to operate in a more technical way but I know that one day, he'd be apprehended. Recently, he even sent a notice to notify students that he's around and coming back soon.

I really do not know if he has been using juju or voodoo on people or he has informants all around because he majors on iPhones which is quite disturbing. Now, imagine the state in which students in my school are and how we all now live in fear that one of our most valuable items which is our phone might be stolen at any point in time. In fact, most students now use their phones as their textbooks, as that's where most of us read from because of the high prices people now sell the hard copy of textbooks.

Walking at nights in my school area is even worse because, thieves also hijack stuffs from people. Just when you think you'd be safe if you take a bike, then how sure are you that the bike man isn't an armed robber, especially when you're going to alight in a desolate, silent or developing area where he can easily bring you down with his weapon.

No where is safe anymore, the crime rate in this country is increasing by the day and I hope things get better soon enough so that we can live our Free lives again. And as for that innocent stealer, I pray he finds his doom sooner than later.
Thanks for stopping by my post, I appreciate you all 🤗.

It's alarming how some individuals can exploit technological advancements for criminal pursuits, making it even harder for others to feel safe.
