Surrender to the (K)night

Draw in, draw close, Hespera
Oh, bring me sweet respite,
Still the incandescent splendor
Draw in, draw in... the dying light
Bring me to the (K)night.

Opposite in time,
Apposite
Masterpieces...
Each in turn,
Giving way.

Luna casts her glowing heart
Gently, into the Cimmerian shade.
Inviting me in,
Giving credence to the idea...
Of betrayal.

My quietude arrives.

Oh, mind be stilled!
At once awakened
to incredulous passion.
What seduction is this?

My heart sings,
stings,
Lullabies quell my fears,
Wipe my tears,
Move mountains in my soul.

The hours... in time -
lapse.

Voices fill my head
Words caress my heart.
Tears splash silently...
Worlds apart.

A joyful acquiescence brings me home.

So many reasons
to remain...
In stasis.
They all fall...
away.

A moment to make
A lifetime to take.
One reason to change.
To surrender.

Him.

And Grace transcends
the borders
of my soul.

Grace restores my life,
Heals the wounds.
Removes the cracks.
And brings eternal sanctuary.

And so...
I go softly
Into the good Knight.
For He is mine
And
I belong to Him.

Hope instilled.
Faith restored.
Life renewed.

And in time...
Aurora will once again greet me
An effulgence of beautiful design.

OOOH, I had to look up a couple of references here - the Cimmerian shade was a fantastic one, adding to the tension between day and night. A little Dylan Thomas reference too. Very clever! Loved it.

I had a little fun writing this. It had some genuine depth and meaning to it... but I always enjoy playing with words and finding a few new ones that make my heart skip a little with delight.

Cimmerian shade now that is something I have not heard for yonks and always reminds me of UK winters!

This was so intimate.

I'm sure it's not so hidden - but you never know! Sometimes the mystery is only for those who have ears hehehe. I do. and eyes. and I so celebrate the celebration! hehehehe

some of these images... like the time-lapse. hehehe I think that happened here, if i'm not mistaken. One morning before coming to greet meeeeeeeeee :)

and i see lots of little jewels... and love spying them all

this was gorgeous. I think He loves when you write to Him. ❤️

I love when I write to Him 💗🙏 and I love sharing these moments that mean so much to me, with you. I really wanted to capture the essence of it all, and through poetry I feel like I can hit emotional notes and connections that prose just doesn't do for me for things like this.

Did you really go to YT to listen to the beauty of The Blessing again 😂💗 or was it the actual lullabies this time hehe... I have to confess... you have introduced a whole new wealth of music into my world and my days are filled with additional beauty as a result.

A lot of the images... have at least two meanings... you likely will recognise quite a few... ❣️
