I hate self-promotion ... but here goes...
Don't get me wrong... I love seeing and supporting genuine self-promotion 💖, but can I do it for myself? Aargh...I usually prefer to just let my words and actions speak for themselves. But that's not going to cut it this week!
You see, outside of my day job, I play for the best Dreem Teem on Hive, led by the wonderful and caring Dreems (aka @dreemsteem). I say 'play', because it's hardly 'work', right, when you are doing something that you love and you feel like you're making a difference, even if it is quietly in the background. And Dreemport is one such project and teem that you cannot help but love.
@dreemsteem launched a staff contest today and we are supposed to go out and promote ourselves in the community and ask Hivians to give us named support in their posts when they drop them into Dreemport each day.
When you drop your daily posts into DreemPort - let us know who you're rooting for at the bottom of your post! Only one staff member per day! (and yep you can root for someone new the next day!)
example:
👉"For my Shout Out for DreemPort Staff, I'm cheering for tEEm@favoritedreemer!" (fill that tag with whoever supports & loves you best!)👈

hehe Hi @beeber 💖So there is Dreemport, which is Dreemsteem's baby. Then dreems has people who work behind the scenes in tech, screening, guild etc who process what ends up on the port for the public curators to vote on. I'm one of the peeps behind the scenes lol. For some reason, Dreems wanted to throw us all into the light of day hehe. So if you currently use Dreemport then all you need to do is add that little quote at the end of your post to say that you are supporting X staff member this week in the staff contest hehe. I have no idea what Dreems and Joe are up to ...lols, but I guess it's just their way of saying thank you to the Dreem Teem. So if you want to support me, I would truly appreciate that. You're unlikely to get a response from Flame about her foot coz she doesn't like it being given attention and she never complains about it. She lets me dress it nowadays but in the past all I had to do was think of doing it and she'd run off. It's an old injury that hasn't gone away in two years :(. Manifests as abscesses. They are local to the bottom of her left hind paw and haven't spread further. Had an Xray even surgery, vet in Portugal saying it was a 'seed of grass' and that she managed to get 'half of it out' (Flame 'bit' her three times before she could be anesthetised - allegedly, coz I wasn't there to witness lol, but I know Flame DID NOT like her much). Antibiotics twice but the abscess returned. Always seems like it's healing up but just not quite. Painful to see her limp (mostly when tired). We're hoping it'll clear up soon but there've been many false summits.

hi @funshee 🤗 so if you are not yet registered on Dreemport, then go onto Dreemport.com and register, it's really simple. Once you are registered you should see a curation tab. You will need to read the random 5 posts in the tab and accept them or reject them. You will only reject...things like spam or plagiarism. Then Dreemport will ask you to rank your accepted posts in your order of preference (ie: vote on the posts)...which you do by dragging the posts into the order you prefer. Finally you submit your response and then it allows you to open the tab to link your own post from Hive and submit it to be curated and voted upon by the public the following day. To support me, simply copy the words that I quoted from dreemsteem in my posts and pop my name in as the person you would like to support. You can choose to support one person all week, or you can support a different person each day. You don't have to use the Port each day, but when you do use it to get more eyes on your own post, we simply ask that you review 5 other posts in dreemport first, and this is what everyone does and how you get eyes on your own posts. Then it closes for a few hours before reopening again for new curation and post submission. Hope that helps 🙏

I haven't heard about @dreemsteem, I am checking out the community already. When we need to promote ourselves I really don't think there is a big deal to that, after all, we are usually the best persons to promote ourselves.
I'm really pleased you are already looking at Dreemport. It's a truly great project. I do hope you register there and I look forward to reading some of your posts 💖You are right, we are best placed to promote ourselves. It's just not something that I find easy to do. I am fairly transparent, so what you see is what you get lol. I prefer for my words and actions to speak for themselves as to who I am.

haha completely understand, there is absolutely no pressue... I'll try explain it a little better below so if you are interested down the line you can just ask me and I'll happily tag someone lovely from Dreemport, one of our ambassadors, to take you through the process, and then if you like what you see, you can give it a try. It is so easy.
Dreemport is a platform where people can link their posts from their home blogging platform and they will be curated by other members of the public just like you and me. So for example...if you want to get more eyes on your posts in Hive (from other Hivians and readers from other blogging platforms), you go into Dreemport and look in the curation tab and read the 5 random articles assigned to you. You then rank them in order of preference and save your preferences. Then that entitles you to link one of your own posts. Your post will be reviewed by Dreemport staff and then released on Dreemport for the public to curate and vote on the next day. You still earn your tokens off your own home blogging page, but you also get more eyes on your post and you earn some Dreem token too just for using Dreemport to get yourself more exposure. Registration takes 2 minutes and most of the random articles assigned are in Hive anyway at the moment. There is no obligation to upvote them or even comment, although it is always welcomed by authors.
So Dreemport lives and operates alongside other blogging platforms and effectively brings people together from those platforms. When others read your post, they actually just follow a link in Dreemport straight back to its location in Hive lol. But I understand that we are going into Christmas now and you have enough on your plate as well as being new on Hive is an overwhelming amount of info to sift through lol.

We decided instead of pulling people AWAY from their favorite platform and making them choose how to divide their time.... we would pull people TO their favorite platforms
No pressure to try it out! Just wanting to clarify that it's actually not a new competing platform.
But rather a place where posts get read MORE by submitting their already-written URL (from Hive - or wherever) to us :)
the only "cost" is that you read 5 other random posts given to you, before submitting your own. so it's a great way to not only meet new bloggers - but have yours guaranteed to be read by new people too hehehe
(again - not pushing for you to try! I was just here reading Sam's post and thought I would drop a better explanation since the video /post you saw wass probably for people who had already been exposed to what we are doing!)

I admit I don't know what this is about and what you are applying for? Is it a position in the dreemport platform? And if so, how can I judge from here whether you are the right person for it? Can't you just apply and say: Hello, take me into your team, I can do this and that and would like to contribute this and that? So I don't really get all that, I'm sorry. haha. ...no I am already part of the Dreemport team. @dreemsteem is running a contest for staff for the festive season. If you already share your posts in Dreemport to gain wider exposure and earn Dreem tokens, or if you'd like to, then you just go about the process as usual but edit your post that you are sharing, to add a note to the effect that you are supporting x person in the Dreemport staff contest...you can support the same person all week or a different person each day. The idea behind it is to support those in Dreemport who support you in the community by giving them your 'vote' so to speak for the staff contest. It's ok though, I appreciate your efforts to try to understand this. If you don't, then don't worry, and thank you for trying anyway hehe. But if you do, then all it requires if for you to add a simple appreciation line for a Dreemport staff member at the bottom of the article that you are sharing in Dreemport 🤗

One step after the other, I would say. To pick means to know my surroundings. I need time to spend my attention. In this competition about attention-seeking I find that it overwhelms me. It seems as if reading long texts or responding in a slow and deep manner loses out in this atmosphere of "look here!"

It's been quiet ...a few hours spent with the family yesterday (my dad, brother and his fam, my sister) I have some time off until after the New Year now so looking forward to that. I promote the crap outta @ryzeonline but doing it for myself is like eh lol. So I totally know the feeling. BUT if you're gonna do it, don't say you hate it...use the negative as a positive and say something like...
"I'm totally out of my comfort zone here by self-promoting but I give tons of value and I'm hoping that y'all see that and show me some love" - this reminds them that you've left valuable comments and given them value and it makes them want to reciprocate like I'm doing with this comment 😉 and then tag the crap outta people.
You can also say something like... "I'm tagging people who I find incredibly valuable" (stroking their ego a bit) "And people who I feel find me valuable too"(reminding them you're valuable) "And tagging some of the smartest people I know" (more ego-stroking) "Cuz if you do this then I get xyz" (people love helping others) "If you don't know how to do the dream post thingy then please friend me on Discord (insert your discord here) and help me out please??? (again people love helping others). Just some suggestions from a serial Ryze promoter lol!!!
