Spring is in the air, and so is my motivation, of late. Each night this past week, once our daughter is in bed and books have been read, I've been heading out for an evening hike. Call it a potential cure for "work anxiety", I've bee trying to get out to take pictures at night in hope of finding some "zen. Results have been mixed, but I've appreciative of getting out to feel nature.

The trails were very muddy this weekend thanks to the rain; fortunately, the trails have started to dry up and the walks/hikes, have been easier this week. Of course, with the trails dry and the grass green, finally, more rain is in store the next few days. Of course...just of course. Granted, it was just all about taking in the landscapes. There were some other finds to photograph.

First, lots of yello cress was about and vibrant.

A unique, orange fungi on the a tree branch that seems to have come to life of late...

And of course a woodpecker riddled decayed birch tree. I showed a friend at work this photograph today and she felt ill. Apparently there is a fear of objects with holes in it...who knew??

One more photograph of the feet on red clay, and then...

I've been enjoying the evening walks when possible...hopefully more posts for Hive will manifest from all of it too for some further therapy. Time will tell! Yup. Everyone needs to get out in nature and re-attune themselves with the world around them at least every now and then. Good for you for doing so. Keep it up, and that zen will arrive.
