Monomad Challenge : A Frozen Mississippi River

My entry to the #monomad challenge.

For this week's challenge, I drove across the river to a frozen boat dock to get some photos of ice, buoys, and other structures atop the frozen Mississippi River.

The wind was actually quite stiff again; the fingers weren't working quite as well as I hoped, but they stayed warm enough. I almost took a monumental spill on the ice below my feet. Hey, the little things we do for a photograph from time to time!

Plus, I had to get my favorite object on the river :

Like a guardian of the river...dour but steadfast. It's a fun thing to photograph.
